Indonesia AirAsia will be launching five new services from Makassar and Semarang in the coming months.
Starting 7 February, the carrier will launch a four times weekly service on the Semarang-Singapore route.
On 1 March, it will begin a four times weekly service on the Makassar-Kota Kinabalu route, and daily services from Makassar to Denpasar, Surabaya and Manado.
On the same day, the carrier will also raise the frequency on its Makassar-Kuala Lumpur route from four times weekly to daily.
Innovata schedules show that Indonesia AirAsia will compete with Batavia Air on the Semarang-Singapore route. It will also compete with carriers such as Garuda Indonesia and Lion Air on services from Makassar to Denpasar, Surabaya and Manado.
