Indonesia AirAsia plans to launch two new routes to Singapore in the coming months.

It will begin a daily Surabaya-Singapore service on 15 July, followed by twice daily Medan-Singapore services on 12 August, says the low-cost carrier.

The airline will use Airbus A320 aircraft on both routes.

Innovata schedules show that Indonesia AirAsia will compete with SilkAir, Mandala Airlines and Jetstar Asia subsidiary Valuair on routes from Surabaya and Medan to Singapore.
