Chinese firm AVIC International Zhuhai has established a joint venture with Canada's Interfast to produce aerospace fasteners in Zhuhai, Guangdong.
The joint venture, to be called Interfast-AVIC Aerospace, will also offer engineering support to Chinese and international aerospace firms in Asia, said Interfast.
"We're very pleased to partner with AVIC International Zhuhai on this significant initiative to create a premier fastener integrator for the Asian aerospace market," said Douglas Woollings, chief executive of Interfast.
Interfast has co-operated with AVIC since 1995. It will own 51% of the joint venture, which it expects to commence operations within the next two months.
