Interjet seeks approval for two US routes

Mexican low-cost carrier Interjet plans to start service on two new routes to the USA, subject to approval.

The airline has requested permission from the US Department of Transportation to begin flights on Guadalajara-San Antonio and Mexico City-Laredo. It adds it plans to begin the service "in the near future".

Interjet already has rights to operate flights to the USA on eight city pairs.

Aeromexico operates between Mexico City and Laredo, schedules in Innovata show. Mexican low-cost carrier Volaris will begin Guadalajara-San Antonio service from 14 December.
