Mexico's Interjet is to begin service from its Mexico City base to the southern city of Oaxaca.
Starting on 8 March, the airline will offer two daily Airbus A320 flights on the route.
Interjet last year became Mexico's domestic market leader for the first time. However, it still ranks second to the consolidated traffic of all Aeromexico group airlines.
Interjet has benefited significantly from the groundings of Aviacsa and Mexicana, which allowed the airline to build a sizeable operation at Mexico City's previously inaccessible, heavily slot-controlled main airport.
