Mexican low-cost carrier Interjet plans to launch flights to San Jose, Costa Rica, from 21 June, adding a fifth international destination to its network.
The airline will operate the flight daily between Mexico City and San Jose on an Airbus A320 aircraft.
Interjet already flies to Guatemala City, Havana, San Antonio and Miami.
The low-cost carrier will compete against Aeromexico and Costa Rica's Lacsa on the route, according to Innovata schedules. Aeromexico operates non-stop between Mexico City and Costa Rica, while Lacsa, which is now a subsidiary of Taca, offers both non-stop and one-stop service on the route.
