Austrian regional airline InterSky has received the first of two ordered ATR 72-600s.
The aircraft (registration OE-LIB) was delivered from the Toulouse assembly line to the carrier's base in Friedrichshafen, Germany on 8 January. It will begin revenue flights on 14 January.
It has been acquired by Hans Rudolf Wöhrl's Intro Group - which is InterSky's largest shareholder, with a 49.8% stake - and will be leased to the Bregenz-headquartered airline.
The turboprop has been configured with 70 seats and will initially be utilised for scheduled flights between Friedrichshafen and Dusseldorf, says InterSky.
The aircraft will fly on services to Graz, Austria and Zurich, Switzerland in February, before being deployed on the remaining Friedrichshafen-based routes to Berlin and Hamburg the following month.
The second ATR 72-600 is to be delivered in March.
InterSky has arranged two charter contracts for the summer, under which the turboprop will fly between Memmingen and Neapel in Italy, as well as from Altenrhein, Switzerland to Cagliari and Olbia on the Italian island of Sardinia.
