Austrian regional carrier InterSky is operating seasonal flights from a number of UK airports to Berne.

From January until March, twice-weekly flights from Bournemouth, Glasgow, Manston and Newquay Cornwall to the Swiss capital will be conducted with ATR 72-600s, says InterSky.

The Bregenz-headquartered airline revealed in November a plan to restart operations in Berne with seasonal flights to the Mediterranean island of Elba from May until October 2014, using Bombardier Dash 8-300 turboprops.

When it began operations in 2002, InterSky was based at Berne airport, but in 2003 the airline moved to Friedrichshafen, Germany.
