The Isle of Man aircraft registry has notched up its 500th M-prefixed registration with the addition of a Bombardier Global 5000 business jet.

The world's first dedicated private aircraft registry was established in May 2007 to bring business and jobs to the island's banks, legal firms and insurance companies.

Flightglobal's Ascend Online database shows the Isle of Man is the fastest-growing offshore aircraft register in the world, and the seventh-largest business jet register. The super-large Global 5000 - registration M-SEAS - was delivered new from Bombardier's factory in Montreal, Canada.
