Italian investigators have condemned the leaking of cockpit-voice recorder extracts from the Wind Jet Airbus A319 accident in Palermo.
Investigation authority ANSV has criticised the "improper use" of recordings from the aircraft, stating that there has been "widespread" publication of the final section of the audio file.
Use of the cockpit recording for purposes other than safety investigation, it says, is contrary to accepted international practice.
"Improper dissemination of the contents of the [recorder] can significantly damage prevention efforts in the aeronautical sector," it adds.
Wind Jet's A319 was badly damaged in the 24 September 2010 accident after it landed short of Palermo's runway 07. Its landing-gear collapsed and the aircraft skidded for several hundred metres, but all those on board survived.
