San Francisco-based aircraft lessor Jackson Square Aviation (JSA) has delivered the first of seven Airbus A320 deliveries to Mexican low-cost carrier Volaris.

The carrier will take the aircraft, powered by IAE V2500 engines, as part of a long-term operating lease, said the lessor.

"This is the first of seven A320 deliveries we have in place with Volaris through 2012, demonstrating our commitment to provide capital to airlines through bulk transactions tailored to each customer's specific needs," said JSA's senior vice-president of marketing for Latin America, Alfredo Sarria.

Volaris said in late 2010 it was hoping to close lease deals on several additional A320s as it seeks to expand its fleet.
