Japan Airlines (JAL) has reported that its domestic passenger traffic fell by 20.3% in July from the same period a year earlier.
Domestic capacity, as measured in ASKS, fell by 21.2%, while total passenger numbers were 20.4% lower at 2.43 million, said the Oneworld alliance member.
The airline added that its load factor was at 62.3% without providing a comparison to the previous year.
International RPKs fell by 32.4%, ASKs were 27.5% lower and passenger numbers were down by 32.2% at 590,000. The load factor was at 71.5%.
The amount of international cargo carried by JAL fell by 56.5% to 20,411 tonnes and international mail carried dropped by 19.6% to 2,158 tonnes. The amount of domestic cargoes carried fell by 21.4% to 33,843 tonnes and mail numbers fell by 9.5% to 2,122 tonnes.
