Japan Airlines (JAL) is to merge four of its subsidiary sales companies, including JAL Sales, JAL Sales Hokkaido, JAL Sales West Japan and JAL Sales Kyushu.

The merger is scheduled to take effect from 1 October and the consolidated entity will retain the name of JAL Sales.

"The objective of the merger is to unify the sales strategies and activities under JAL Sales, in order to effectively reinforce the sales capabilities of JAL, rapidly improve its operating efficiencies, and thereby help drive the early recovery of the group," says the Oneworld carrier.
