Japan Airlines (JAL) and Canada's WestJet Airlines have entered into a codeshare agreement, effective 15 December.
Under the codeshare deal, JAL will place its code on WestJet-operated flights from Vancouver to Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna, Montreal, Toronto and Winnipeg. The codeshare deal is subject to government approval, said JAL.
JAL operates daily flights between Narita and Vancouver which will be connected to the flights under the codeshare deal.
The latest agreement with WestJet will expand the total number of Canadian cities in JAL's network from three to seven, the carrier added.
