Japan Airlines domestic passenger traffic down 0.6% in October

Japan Airlines (JAL) has posted a 0.6% year-on-year decline in domestic passenger traffic, as measured in RPKs, for October.

The carrier's domestic capacity, as measured in ASKs, increased by 2.5%, while its domestic passenger numbers decreased by 0.1% to 2.76 million. Its domestic load factor was at 68.4%.

JAL's international passenger traffic grew by 9.1% year on year.

Its international capacity, as measured in ASKs, rose by 1.7%, while its international passenger numbers increased by 1.4% to 604,000. Its international load factor was at 77.1%.

The volume of international cargo carried climbed by 8.2% to 21,600t, while the amount of mail carried fell by 13.2% to 2,200t.

The carrier's total cargo carried on domestic routes increased by 0.2% to 33,500t and total mail carried decreased by 3.6% to 2,290t.
