Japan Airlines domestic passenger traffic up 1.7% in November

Japan Airlines (JAL) has posted a 1.7% year-on-year increase in domestic passenger traffic, as measured in RPKs, for November.

The carrier's domestic capacity, as measured in ASKs, decreased by 3%, while its domestic passenger numbers increased by 2.8% to 2.65 million. Its domestic load factor stood at 69%.

JAL's international passenger traffic for the month grew by 16.8% year on year. Its international capacity, as measured in ASKs, rose by 4.1%, and international passenger numbers increased by 8.1% to 608,000. Its international load factor was at 76.8%.

The volume of international cargo carried climbed by 4.1% to 21,800t, while the amount of mail carried fell by 11.9% to 2,300t.

The carrier's total cargo carried on domestic routes decreased by 6.2% to 31,000t and total mail carried decreased by 5.7% to 2,300t.
