Japan Airlines (JAL) has posted a 4.5% increase in July's domestic passenger traffic, as measured in RPKs, compared with the same period a year ago.
The carrier's domestic capacity, as measured in ASKs, increased by 7.8%, while its domestic passenger numbers grew by 4.8% to 2.55 million. Its load factor was 60.4%, says the Oneworld member.
JAL's international passenger traffic grew by 10.1% year on year.
Its international capacity, as measured in ASKs, rose by 3.1%, while its international passenger numbers increased by 8.8% to 642,000. Its load factor was 76.3%.
The volume of international cargo carried climbed by 3% to 21,000, with a 9.6% decline in mail carried to 1,950t.
The carrier's total cargo carried on domestic routes increased by 5.9% to 35,800t, with a 3.8% decline in mail carried to 2,040t.
