University of Queensland and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) researchers on 30 March conducted a scramjet experiment at Woomera, South Australia. The HyShot IV flight was intended to capture pressure and temperature measurements. It involved a 100kg (220lb) scramjet engine with an advanced fuel injector developed by JAXA. The HyShot III scramjet experiment involving the UK’s Qinetiq also took place at Woomera, on 25 March.
