Japanese carrier StarFlyer has received its first purchased Airbus A320.

The aircraft, powered by CFM International CFM56-5B4/P engines, has 150 seats in a single-class configuration. This is the first of three A320s ordered by the carrier in 2011, says Airbus.

With the delivery, StarFlyer now operates eight A320s with six more aircraft to be delivered through lease and purchase options.

Kitakyushu-based StarFlyer operates services between Tokyo Haneda and Kitakyushu, Fukuoka and Osaka Kansai. It also operates services from Kitakyushu to Busan, according to its website.
