Indian carrier Jet Airways has signed a new maintenance agreement with aircraft manufacturer ATR.
The seven-year deal, valued at $48 million, covers the supply of spare parts and maintenance services for the airline's fleet of ATR aircraft.
Under the deal, ATR will handle the complete management of components, including the repairing of propellers. The aircraft manufacturer will also provide Jet with an inventory of spare parts at its own premises, ensuring a guaranteed availability of spares and reduced maintenance costs.
Jet and its subsidiary, Jet Konnect, have a fleet of 17 ATR 72-500 and -600 aircraft.
