Volito-Goldman Sachs fleet nears 50 aircraft

VGS Aircraft Holding through its wholly owned subsidiaries, Olbia Limited and VGS Aircraft Leasing One Limited, acquired three Boeing 737-800 (28373, 28374, 28375) aircraft from Transavia Airlines through a sale and leaseback transaction. The 1998-built aircraft will be leased to Transavia until December 2009 and December 2010. The aircraft are financed by PK AirFinance.

VGS Aircraft Holding also acquired one Airbus A320-200 (1835) with V2527-A5 engines from JetBlue Airways. The 2002-vintage aircraft is leased to TAM Linhas Aereas until April 2014. Nord LB financed the aircraft acquisition. With the addition of the above four aircraft, the VGS Aircraft Holding portfolio includes 49 aircraft while Volito manages five additional aircraft.

Aerosvit leased one Boeing 767-300ER (28132) aircraft powered by PW4060 engines from ILFC for a period of eight years. The 1998-vintage ex-Air China aircraft is scheduled for delivery in November 2008.

Air Baltic leased two 1999-vintage Boeing 757-200ERs (26251, 26254) equipped with RB211-535E4 engines from ILFC for a period of eight years. Both ex-Iberia aircraft are scheduled to deliver in spring 2008.

Air Berlin leased three new Boeing 787-8s (35313, 35320, 38756) from ILFC for a period of 12 years. The aircraft deliver in May 2011.

Air Canada leased one new Boeing 777-300ER (35784) aircraft with GE90-115B engines from ILFC for a period of 10 years. The aircraft deliver in April 2009.

Air Europa agreed to extend the lease of two Boeing 767-300ERs (29387, 30048) powered by CF6-80C2B7F engines from ILFC for five additional years. Both 2001-vintage aircraft that had their lease ending in March and June 2008, will now be leased through spring 2013.

Air India wet-leased a Boeing 767-200ER (24239) with CF6-80A2s from XL Airways through mid-January 2008. The 1988-vintage aircraft was purchased earlier this year by GA Telesis and leased to XL Airways through March 2011.

Armavia purchased an Airbus A319CJ (913) with V2524-A5 engines from National Air Services in a deal arranged by Twinjet Aircraft Sales. The 1998-vintage aircraft was acquired by National Air Services in 2006 from the Kharafi Group.

Aurora Aviation purchased three 1990-vintage Boeing 737-300s (24634, 24710, 24711) with CFM56-3B1 engines from Wells Fargo NA NW. All three aircraft have leases attached to US Airways.

Belavia leased two Boeing 737-500s (26339, 26340) equipped with CFM56-3C1 engines from ILFC for a period of five years. Both 1996-vintage aircraft are currently on lease to Flylal through April 2008 and are scheduled to deliver in May 2008.

Branson Air leased a Boeing 737-200A (22735) with JT8D-17 engines from Aergo Capital. The 1981-vintage aircraft was previously leased to Mandala Airlines.

Brussels Airlines leased a Boeing 737-400 (28202) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from ILFC for a period of five years. The 1998-vintage aircraft is currently on lease to JetLite India are scheduled to deliver in February 2008.

CargoJet agreed to lease a Boeing 757-200PCF (24792) with RB211-535E4 engines from Babcock & Brown Asset Management. The 1990-vintage ex-Thomsonfly aircraft is being converted by Flightstar Aircraft Services using Precision Conversions’ kit.

Cargo Air purchased ex-US Airways Boeing 737-300 (23237) with CFM56-3B1 engines from GA Telesis. The former Bulgarian carrier Vega Air, will have the 1986-vintage aircraft converted into freighter by Commercial Jet using AEI’s kit.

Centralwings leased three Boeing 737-400 (25164, 25740, 26302) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from ILFC for a period of five years. All three 1993/94-vintage aircraft are currently on lease to Air One and scheduled to deliver in spring 2008.

China Hainan Airlines leased three Airbus A340-600s (436, 453, 475) with Rolls Royce Trent 556-61 engines from ILFC for a period of six years. All three aircraft are currently on five years lease to Cathay Pacific and are scheduled to deliver in July, October, and December 2008, respectively.

Chongqing Airlines leased three new Airbus A319-100s equipped with V2527M-A5 engines from ILFC for a period of 12 years. The new aircraft are scheduled to deliver in March, April, and May 2009.

East Star Airlines agreed to lease two new Airbus A320-200 aircraft equipped with CFM56-5B4 engines from ILFC for a period of 12 years. The new aircraft are scheduled to deliver in March and November 2009.

Emirates Airline agreed to extend the lease of eight Boeing 777-300 (29396, 28687, 32697, 32699, 32700, 32702, 28680, 29395) aircraft with Trent 892-17 engines from ILFC for six additional years to 2017, 2018 and 2019.

JetLite India leased a Boeing 737-700 (30037) aircraft with CFM56-7B24 engines from ILFC for a period of seven years. The 2001-vintage aircraft was on lease to Air Mauritanie through March 2011 but will now deliver to Jet Lite India in January 2008.

Jet Airways leased one new Boeing 737-800 aircraft (35289) with CFM56-7B24 engines from ILFC for a period of 10 years. The aircraft is scheduled for delivery deliver in December 2008.

National Air Services agreed to lease four new Airbus A320-200 aircraft (3361, 3396, 3425, 3475) with CFM56-5B4/3 engines from ILFC for a period of eight years. The aircraft are scheduled for delivery deliver in January, February, March and April 2008, respectively.

Silverjet acquired two additional Boeing 767-200ERs from Thomsonfly for delivery in March. The two General Electric CF6-powered aircraft will join the three 767s it already operates – two of which are also ex-Thomsonfly aircraft. The carrier initially signed a letter of intent for the two aircraft in June.

Spanair agreed to lease one Airbus A320-200 aircraft (1407) equipped with V2527-A5 engines from ILFC for a period of 10 years. The 2001-vintage aircraft that is on lease to BMI British Midland through February 2008 is scheduled for delivery in March 2008.

Sterling Airlines agreed to lease one Boeing 737-700 (28210) equipped with CFM56-7B24 engines from ILFC for a period of eight years. The 1997-vintage aircraft is currently on lease to Air Mauritanie and is due for delivery in February 2008. Sterling Airlines also agreed to lease one new Boeing 737-800 (37159) aircraft equipped with CFM 56-7B26 engines from ILFC for a period of eight years. The aircraft is due for delivery in February 2009.

TAM Linhas Aereas agreed to lease one Airbus A320-200 aircraft (1757) with CFM56-5B4/P engines from ILFC for a period of six years. The 2002-vintage aircraft that is leased to MyWay Airlines through January 2008 is scheduled to deliver in March 2008.
