FedEx purchases more 757s

FedEx has closed the acquisition of a further five Boeing 757s for cargo conversion. The freighter carrier purchased a Boeing 757-200 (24528) aircraft with RB211-535E4 engines from Fly Leasing. The 1989-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Omni Air International.

FedEx also acquired a Boeing 757-200 (25133) aircraft with RB211-535E4 engines from PALS. The 1991-vintage aircraft had been leased by Avianca since 2006.

FedEx purchased three Boeing 757-200 (22909, 22911, 22912) aircraft with PW2037 engines from VX Capital Partners. The 1986-vintage aircraft were previously operated by Delta Air Lines.

Air One acquired two Boeing 737-400s (27002, 27005) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from German Operating Aircraft Leasing off lease. The 1992-vintage aircraft had been on lease to Air One since 1997.

AirBridge Cargo Airlines leased a Boeing 747-400F (33749) aircraft with CF6-80C2B1F engines from Aircastle. The 2004-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Japan Airlines International.

Air Busan subleased an Airbus A321-200 (1970) aircraft with V2527-A5 engines from Asiana Airlines. The 2003-vintage aircraft owned by AWAS was previously operated by Livingston.

Air Europa subleased an Airbus A330-200 (461) aircraft with Trent 772B-60 engines from Orbest. The 2002-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Novair Sweden.

Airblue leased two Airbus A319-100s (3364, 3403) with CFM56-5B3/P engines from AWAS. The 2008-vintage aircraft were previously on a 10-year lease to Hamburg International Airlines.

Asiana Airlines leased a Boeing 747-400F (33748) aircraft with CF6-80C2B1F engines from Aircastle. The 2004-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Japan Airlines International.

Asiana Airlines leased an Airbus A321-200 (1970) aircraft with V2533-A5 engines from AWAS. The 2003-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Livingston.

Donbassaero leased an Airbus A321-200 (1869) aircraft with V2533-A5 engines from Airbus Financial Services. The 2002-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Easyjet.

Firefly leased one Boeing 737-400 (27001) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from Aircastle. The 1991-vintage aircraft were previously operated by Air One.

Firefly subleased one Boeing 737-800 (30703) aircraft with CFM56-7B26 engines from Malaysian Airlines. The 2006-vintage aircraft has been on operating lease to Malaysian Airlines since 2009.

Gladiator Leasing purchased a pair of Airbus A340-200 (38, 43) aircraft with CFM56-5C3/F engines from GMT Global Republic Aviation. The 1994-vintage aircraft were acquired by GMT Global Republic Aviation in September 2007 from Airbus Financial Services with a lease attached to Royal Jordanian through 2015.

PAL Airlines subleased a Boeing 757-200 (24544) aircraft with RB211-535E4 engines from Mint Airways. The 1990-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Ryan International Airlines.

PAL Airlines subleased a Boeing 757-200 (26252) aircraft with RB211-535E4 engines from Privilege Style. The 1999-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Iberia.

Passaredo Transportes Aereos leased an Embraer ERJ-145MP (244) aircraft with AE3007A1-2 engines from GECAS. The 2000-vintage aircraft was previously operated by LOT Polish Airlines.

Passaredo Transportes Aereos leased one Embraer ERJ-135LR (663) aircraft with AE3007A13 engines from ECC Leasing. The 2002-vintage aircraft were previously operated by Chautauqua Airlines.

Okay Airways leased a Boeing 737-800 (33554) aircraft with CFM56-7B26 engines from GECAS. The 2003-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Ryanair.

Orbest subleased an Airbus A330-200 (833) aircraft with Trent 772B-60 engines from Iberworld. The 2007-vintage aircraft was acquired by Macquarie AirFinance from ILFC in November 2010 with a lease attached.

Qantas transferred an Airbus A330-200 (940) aircraft with CF6-80E1A4 engines to Jetstar Airways. The 2008-vintage aircraft was operated by Qantas since new.

Safi Airways wetleased a Boeing 757-200 (26241) aircraft with RB211-535E4 engines from Privilege Style. The 1993-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Hola Airlines.

South African Express Airways leased two Bombardier CRJ700 (10028, 10039) aircraft with CF34-8C1 engines from Maersk Group in a transaction arranged by Skytech-AIC. MSN 10028, a 2001-vintage aircraft, was delivered earlier this month. The second aircraft is expected to enter service with South African Express Airways in February 2011. Both aircraft were in operations with Eurowings on behalf of Lufthansa. They were placed by Maersk Aviation Holdings on a three-year operating lease to October 2010 and January 2011, respectively.

Southwest Airlines leased two Boeing 737-700 (30744, 30745) aircraft with CFM56-7B22 engines from Aviation Capital Group. The 2001-vintage aircraft were previously operated by Virgin Blue.

Ural Airlines leased an Airbus A321-200 (815) aircraft with CFM56-5B3/P engines from ILFC. The 1998-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Aer Lingus.

Windrose Air leased an Airbus A321-200 (2462) aircraft with V2533-A5 engines from Airbus Financial Services. The 2005-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Easyjet.

World Aviation Services acquired a Boeing MD82 (48070) aircraft with JT8D-217A engines from U.S Bancorp Equipment Finance. The 1981-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Midwest Airlines. Meridian Aerospace group arranged the transaction.

Zest Air leased an Airbus A320-200 (2137) with V2527-A5 engines from NBB Leasing. The 2003-vintage aircraft was previously operated by EasyJet.
