Air Italy purchases ex-Maxjet 767s

Air Italy completes the purchase of two Boeing 767-200ER aircraft (23973, 23974) with CF6-80C2B4 engines from Marathon 767 SPV 2006-1. Both aircraft were previously operated by Maxjet Airways. Both ex-Air Mauritius aircraft were leased to Maxjet Airways last year between 28 March and 30 September at $250,000 a month each. MaxJet had the option to acquire both aircraft at $13.5 million each. Both aircraft were acquired in January 2007 from Compass Capital Corp. for $15.0 million each.

Air Tanzania has leased an Airbus A320-200 (630) with CFM56-5B4/P engines from Deutsche Bank Equipment Leasing. The 1997-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air Jamaica.

Air Madagascar extended the lease of a Boeing 767-300ER (25088) with PW4060 engines from Muzum Leasing for a period of five years. The ex-SAS 1991-vintage aircraft was first leased in 2004 for a four year period. Novus Aviation arranged the transaction.

Admal Aircraft (Labuan) Ltd has leased two Boeing 737-300s for its Sriwijaya Air carrier. One 737-300 on lease from AWAS and has added a 737-300 on lease from Malaysian company Admal.

Aero Toy Store acquired a Bombardier CRJ200ER (7508) with CF34-3B1 engines from Anadarko Petroleum for corporate shuttle services. The 2001-vintage ex-Kendell Airlines aircraft was previously operated by Citelynx.

Arik Air purchased a new Boeing 737-700 (36719) with CFM56-7B22 engines from AirTran Airways. The aircraft is the first of two aircraft to be sold this quarter by Airtran to Arik Air. irtran says it will recognize a gain of approximately $7.0 million related to the sale of these two aircraft. The net cash proceeds from the sale of the two aircraft aggregate approximately $10 million including $5 million of deposits received prior to 31 March 2008.

Asiana Airlines leased a new Airbus A320-200 (3437) with V2500s from RBS Aviation Capital.

Aurora Aviation Group purchased a Boeing 737-300 (24700) with CFM56-3B1 engines Deutsche Bank Equipment Leasing. The 1990-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Pluna.

Belavia leased a third Boeing 737-500 (26340) with CFM56-3C1 engines from ILFC. The 1996-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Flylal.

Cebu Air Pacific leased an Airbus A320-200 (3472) with CFM56s from CIT Aerospace. The aircraft is the second of four aircraft being leased from CIT Aerospace.

Comair South Africa leased three Boeing 737-400 aircraft (24163, 24164, 24167) with CFM56-3C1 engines from Orix Aviation. All 1989-vintage aircraft were previously leased to Air One.

Donbassaero leased an Airbus A320-200 aircraft (733) with V2527E-A5 engines from Babcock & Brown. The 1997-vintage aircraft was previously operated by TACA International Airlines.

Emirates leased five Boeing 747-8 Freighters with GENX-2B67 engines from Dubai Aerospace Enterprise. Two aircraft are planned for delivery in 2012, another two in 2013 and the remaining aircraft is scheduled for 2014.
In addition, Dubai Aerospace Enterprise is to convert four of its 10 Boeing 777-300ERs on order with Boeing to 777-200LR Freighters and lease them to Emirates.

Etihad Airways has agreed to lease two new Airbus A320-200s with V2527-A5 engines from CIT Aerospace. The aircraft are scheduled for delivery by the end of 2008.

Flying Carpet acquired a Bombardier CRJ-200ER aircraft (7255) with CF34-3B1 engines from CRAFT. The 1998-vintage aircraft was formerly operated by Independence Air. The Lebanese carrier operates two Boeing 727-200s and one Metro aircraft fleet.

FedEx purchased another Airbus A300-600R aircraft (664) with PW4158 engines from AWAS. The 1992-vintage aircraft was last operated by Qatar Airways. Qatar now operates four aircraft of the type.

FedEx also purchased a Boeing 757-200 aircraft (25054) with RB211-535E4 engines from ALPS for freighter conversion. The 1991-vintage was previously operated by First Choice Airways. Babcock & Brown Asset Management is the lease manager.

Futura International Airways leased two new Boeing 737-900ER aircraft (35223, 35225) with CFM56-7B26 engines from GECAS.

Flylal leased a Boeing 737-500 aircraft (26684) with CFM56-3C1 engines from Aviation Assets Management.

QantasLink has wetleased a Fokker F100 aircraft from Alliance Air. The 100-seat aircraft is to be operated on the Brisbane-Mackay route from 23 June onwards.

Markoss Aviation leased a Bombardier CRJ200LR aircraft (7283) with CF34-3B1 engines from Bombardier Capital for corporate shuttle services. The 1999-vintage aircraft was previously operated Styrian Spirit.

MyAir has wet-leased a second Airbus A320-200 aircraft from partner carrier LTE International Airways to expand its network.

Ryan International leased a Boeing MD83 aircraft (53450) with JT8D-219 engines from North Shore Aircraft. The 1994-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Alaska Airlines.

Ryan International subleased a Boeing 737-800 (32740) with CFM56-7B26 engines from Futura International. The 2004-vintage aircraft is owned by GECAS.

Skyservice leased an Airbus A330-300 (357) with Trent 772B-60 engines from MyTravel Airways Denmark. The aircraft was built in 2000.

Thomas Cook UK subleased an Airbus A320-200 (1411) with V2527-A5 engines from Skyservice for a period of six months. The 2001-vintage aircraft is leased by Skyservice from RBS Aviation through 2011.

Trans States acquired two Embraer ERJ-145s (340, 353) with AE3007A1-2 engines from Wells Fargo MN NA Trustee. The 2000-vintage aircraft were last operated by Freedom Airlines.

Webjet leased a Boeing 737-300 aircraft (25050) with CFM56-3B2 engines from EAST. The 1991-vintage aircraft is managed by Macquarie AirFinance. It was last operated by Brasil Rodeo Aero.
