Ex-BMI A330 heads for part out

A 2001-vintage Airbus A330-200 aircraft has been sold by its owners, Millennium Aircraft Leasing (MALC), a fund co-managed by Novus Aviation and Alafco, for part out.

The 11-year old aircraft, MSN 401, was operated by BMI International and retired from service on 31 October.

The transaction represents the first A330-200 to be retired from service for disassembly.

The only other A330, an A330-300, to have been dismantled to date, MSN 59, was a General Electric-powered Aer Lingus aircraft sold and broken apart by General Electric in 2011. Last month Deucalion Capital II A330 Parts acquired three A330-300s, previously operated by Malaysian Airlines for disassembly. The company has taken the first - MSN 73, a 1995-build aircraft and consigned the fuselage to Universal Asset Management. The engines are being sold to Total Engine Support.

Air Europa wetleased an Embraer 145 (145230) aircraft with AE3007-A1 engines from Privilege Style. The 2000-vintage aircraft is owned by Globalia Group.

Air Niugini wetleased a Boeing 737-800 (30290) aircraft with CFM56-7B27 engines from Air Europa. The 2003-vintage aircraft is owned by Aviation Capital Group.

Canjet Airlines wetleased a Boeing 737-800 (28226) aircraft with CFM56-7B26 engines from XL Airways Germany. The 1998-vintage aircraft is owned by ILFC.

Canjet Airlines wetleased a Boeing 737-800 (30724) aircraft with CFM56-7B26/3 engines from XL Airways Germany. The 2000-vintage aircraft is owned by ILFC.

Donavia leased an Airbus A319 (1808) aircraft with CFM56- 5B6/2P engines from ILFC. The 2002-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Finnair.

EasyJet transferred an Airbus A320 (4785) aircraft with CFM56-5B5 engines to EasyJet Switzerland. The 2011-vintage aircraft was delivered new to EasyJet.

Go Air wetleased two Airbus A320 (3758) aircraft with CFM56-5B4/3 engines from Orbest Espana. The 2009-vintage aircraft is owned by GECAS.

Nordwind Airlines leased a Boeing 767-300ER (30301) aircraft with PW4060 engines from ILFC. The 1999-vintage aircraft was previously operated by GMG Airlines.

Safi Airways leased a Boeing 757-200 (26330) aircraft with RB211535-E4 engines from ILFC. The 1996-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air Finland.

Sriwijaya Air agreed to lease a Boeing 737-800 (27985) aircraft with CFM56-7B26 engines from AerCap. The 1999-vintage aircraft was previously operated by TUIfly.

Sunwing Airlines wetleased a Boeing 737-800 (29669) aircraft with CFM56-7B26 engines from Travel Service Airlines. The 2005-vintage aircraft is owned by Air Lease.

Sunwing Airlines wetleased a Boeing 737-800 (32740) aircraft with CFM56-7B27 engines from Travel Service Airlines. The 2004-vintage aircraft is owned by GECAS.

Sunwing Airlines wetleased a Boeing 737-800 (35145) aircraft with CFM56-7B26 engines from Thomson Airways. The 2009-vintage aircraft is owned by ICBC Leasing.

Sunwing Airlines wetleased two Boeing 737-800 (38018, 39404) aircraft with CFM56-7B26/3 engines from Travel Service Slovakia. The 2011-vintage aircraft are owned by GECAS.

Sun Country Airlines wetleased a Boeing 737-800 (30389) aircraft with CFM56-7B27 engines from Transavia Airlines. The 2000-vintage aircraft has been operated by Transavia Airlines since April 2011.

Ural Airlines leased an Airbus A320 (3099) aircraft with CFM56-5B4/P engines to SMBC Aviation Capital. The 2007-vintage aircraft was previously operated by All Nippon Airways.

VietJet leased an Airbus A320 (4190) aircraft with CFM56-5B4/3 engines from ALAFCO Aviation Lease and Finance Company. The 2010-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Olympic Air.

VivaAerobus leased a Boeing 737-300 (27267) aircraft with CFM56-3B1 engines from AWAS. The 1994-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Webjet.
