ASL Aviation Group acquires 737s for freighter conversion

ASL Aviation Group has selected Aeronautical Engineers (AEI) to provide 11-pallet configuration freighter conversions on three Boeing 737-400 passenger aircraft, (24433, 24440, 24446) acquired from Qantas.

The CFM56-3C1 powered aircraft are high gross weight 737-400s, built between 1990 and 1993.

All three aircraft will undergo freighter modification at AEI's authorized conversion center, Commercial Jet, located in Miami Florida.

Airlink South Africa purchased an Embraer 135 (145737) aircraft with AE 3007-A1/3 engines from ECC Leasing. The 2003-vintage was previously operated by FlyMex.

Air North agreed to lease a Boeing 737-500 (26287) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from TAF 2000-1 ABS portfolio. The 1993-vintage was previously operated by Air Cuenca.

Bahamasair agreed to lease a Boeing 737-500 (26448) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from GECAS. The 1993-vintage was previously operated by Aerolineas Argentinas.

BH Air leased an Airbus A320 (2844) aircraft with V2527-A5 engines from GECAS. The 2006-vintage was previously operated by Indigo.

Brussels Airlines agreed to lease an Airbus A320 (2392) aircraft with CFM56-5B5/P engines from GECAS. The 2005-vintage was previously operated by Frontier Airlines.

Buraq Air Transport leased a Boeing 737-500 (27419) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from GECAS. The 1992-vintage was previously operated by LOT Polish Airlines.

Jetstar Pacific agreed to lease an Airbus A320 (2340) aircraft with V2527-A5 engines from Aviation Capital Group. The 2005-vintage was previously operated by Tiger Airways.

Orient Thai leased a Boeing 767-300 (25117) aircraft with CF6-80C2B6F engines from Aircastle. The 1991-vintage was previously operated by Aeroflot Russian Airlines.

Orient Thai leased a Boeing 747-400 (25628) aircraft with CF6-80C2B6F engines from Citicorp North America. The 1992-vintage was previously operated by Air France.

Saudia wetleased an Airbus A340-300 (0278) aircraft with CFM56-5C4 engines from AirAsia X. The 1999-vintage aircraft is on lease from Air Canada.

Sky Aviation leased a Boeing 737-300 (25040) aircraft with CFM56-3B2 engines from Aero North International. The 1991-vintage was previously operated by Kalstar Aviation.

Solar Cargo leased a Boeing DC-10-30F (47840) aircraft with CF6-50C2 engines from IAG Ventures 1. The 1980-vintage was previously operated by Centurion Air Cargo.

Yamal Airlines leased an Airbus A320 (2413) aircraft with V2527-A5 engines from GECAS. The 2005-vintage was previously operated by Kingfisher Airlines.
