ERJ-145 finds home in Australia
Over the past six month, the Embraer ERJ-145 model has found new applications in Ukraine. Airstream International has arranged the sale of a four ERJ-145 to Ukrainian operator Dniproavia. The aircraft were owned by Aircraft Solutions ERJ-145 and previously operated by Flybe.
The ERJ-145 model has now opened a new market; Australia. SkyAirWorld is taking delivery of two leased ex-LOT Polish Airlines ERJ-145s (408, 441) with AE2100A engines from GECAS. The first aircraft is scheduled for delivery in June 2008, while the second aircraft is planned for July.
SkyAirWorld already leases an Embraer 170-100LR and an Embraer 190 from GECAS. A second Embraer 190 is planned to be leased from GECAS in the third quarter of this year.
Aerosvit Airlines wet-leased a Boeing 767-300ER (24318) with PW4060 engines from EuroAtlantic Airways. The 1989-vintage aircraft was previously subleased to Blue Panorama Airlines.
Air Niugini wet-leased an Airbus A310-300 (573) with CF6-80C2A2 engines from White. The 1991-vintage aircraft is on lease from Macquarie to White through 2011.
Air Transat extended the leases on three 1990/91-vintage Airbus A310-300 aircraft (547, 595, 599) with CF6-80C2A8 engines from German Operating Aircraft Leasing (GOAL) until May 2010. All three aircraft were previously leased to May 2009.
Allegiant Air acquired a Boeing MD-88 (49765) with JT9D-219 engines from Babcock & Brown Asset Management. The 1989-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Aeromexico.
Atlasjet Airlines leased a Boeing 757-200 (30044) with PW2040 engines from ILFC for charter services. The 2001-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Golden Intl Airlines.
Asiana Airlines leased an Airbus A321-200 (802) with V2530-A5 engines from AerCap. The 1998-vintage ex-All Nippon Airways aircraft was acquired last September by AerCap from tombo Aviation.
Bahrain Air leased two Airbus A320-200 aircraft (579, 645) with CFM56-5A3 engines from ILFC. Both 1996/97-vintage aircraft were previously leased to Germanwings.
Blue Line acquired two Boeing MD-83 aircraft (49398, 49672) with JT9D-219 engines. MSN 49672 is a 1988-vintage ex-Nouvelair Tunisie aircraft leased from GECAS that was delivered last week. MSN 49672 is a 1987-vintage aircraft leased from Aircraft Finance Trust and was previously operated by Spanair. The aircraft is due to be delivered at the end of May.
British Midland extended lease of one Boeing 737-300 (24963) with CFM56-3C1 engines for a term of five years. The aircraft is leased from Babcock & Brown Aircraft Management.
Brussels Airlines leased an Airbus A319-100 (644) with CFM56-5A4 engines from Aviation Capital Group. The 1997-vintage aircraft was previously leased to Air France.
Cimber Air added another Bombardier CRJ200LR (7093) aircraft with CF34-A1 engines. The 1995-vintage ex-Lufthansa CityLine aircraft was acquired by Cimber Air Leasing from Japan Lease Corporation.
Compagnie Aérienne du Mali wet-leased an Airbus A320-200 (293) with CFM56-5A1 engines from Air Méditerranée.
CSI Aviation Services purchased a Boeing MD83 (53093) with JT9D-219 engines from TUT Airlines. The 1993-vintage aircraft was last operated by Avianca Columbia and recently acquired by Tut Airlines from AWAS. The carrier had placed the aircraft on storage in Mojave.
Donbassaero leased a third ex-TACA Intl Airlines Airbus A320-200 (747) with V2522-A5 engines from Babcock & Brown.
Euro Atlantic Airways has wet-leased a Boeing 767-300ER (26205) with PW4060m engines to Cubana. The 1994-vintage ex-Southern Winds aircraft is owned by GECAS.
GMG Airlines wet-leased a Boeing 737-800 (33022) with CFM56-B27 engines from Fly Globespan. The 2005-vintage aircraft has been on lease from CIT since new.
Hellenic Imperial Airways leased a Boeing 747-200B (23501) with CF6-50E2 engines from Air Universal. The 1986-vintage ex-All Nippon Airways aircraft is being subleased to Pakistan International Airlines.
Jetclub wet-leased an Airbus A320-200 (221) with CFM56-5A1 engines to Tunisair. The 1991-vintage ex-Air France aircraft is on lease from AerCap.
LTU International Airways subleased an Airbus A320-200 (2539) with CFM56-5B4/P engines from Air Berlin.
Mangal Airlines leased two Boeing 747-200B aircraft (23502, 23622) with CF6-50E2 engines from Hellenic Imperial Airways. Both 1986/87-vintage aircraft are ex-All Nippon Airways and ex-Lufthansa aircraft, respectively.
Norwegian Air Shuttle leased one Boeing 737-800 (30785) powered by CFM56-7B26 engines from Babcock & Brown Aircraft Management. The 2005-vintage ex-Air Europa aircraft has a lease term of seven years. Norwegian Air Shuttle also leased one new Boeing 737-800 aircraft (34954) with CFM56-7B26 engines for seven years from Babcock & Brown Aircraft Management.
Pegasus Airlines wet-leased a Boeing 737-400 (25775) with CFM56-3C1 engines from Saga Airlines. The 1997-vintage aircraft was previously leased by Jet Airways.
Sky Airlines wet-leased a Boeing 737-400 (25773) with CFM56-3C1 engines from Saga Airlines for the summer season. The 1997-vintage aircraft was previously leased by Jet Airways.
Tajik start-up carrier Somon Air has wet-leased a Boeing 737-800 (32735) with CFM56-7B26 engine from Pegasus Airlines. The 2002-vintage aircraft is on lease from GECAS.
Southern Air purchased a 1988-vintage Boeing 747-200F (23919) with CF6-50E2 engines from All Nippon Airways.
SpiceJet leased a new Boeing 737-800 (34955) with CFM56-7B24 engines from Babcock & Brown Aircraft Management. Lease term is eight years.
Travel Service Airlines wet-leased a Boeing 737-800 (28595) with CFM56-7B26 engines to Comair (SA). The 1999-vintage aircraft is on lease from Babcock & Brown through April 2009.
United Parcel Services purchased a Boeing ex-EVA 747-400M (27154) with CF6-80C2B1F engines from GECAS.
