CanJet adds more 737-800s

CanJet Airlines has closed a series of wetlease contracts through the end of April 2010.

The carrier wetleased a Boeing 737-800 (27981) aircraft with CFM56-7B27 engines from TUIFly. The 1997-vintage aircraft is owned by Orix Aviation.

CanJet Airlines wetleased a Boeing 737-800 (27991) aircraft with CFM56-7B27 engines from TUIFly for seven months. The 1999-vintage aircraft is owned by Defag.

The carrier wetleased a Boeing 737-800 (27981) aircraft with CFM56-7B26 engines from JetairFly. The 2002-vintage aircraft was previously operated by TUI Airlines Belgium.

CanJet Airlines wetleased a Boeing 737-800 (34688) aircraft with CFM56-7B26 engines from TUIFly. The 2006-vintage aircraft was previously operated by HapagFly.

It also wetleased a Boeing 737-800 (35142) aircraft with CFM56-7B27/3 engines from TUIFly. The 2008-vintage aircraft is owned by HSH Nordbank.

Allegiant Air purchased a Boeing MD83 (49965) aircraft with JT8D-217 engines from Norwegian Air Shuttle. The 1993-vintage aircraft was last operated by Nordic Airways.

Aeropostal leased a Boeing MD82 (49796) aircraft with JT8D-217C engines from Aergo Capital. The 1990-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Alitalia.

Asky Airlines leased two Boeing 737-700 (34401, 34402) aircraft with CFM56-7B22 engines from Bavaria International Aircraft Leasing. The 2007-vintage aircraft were previously operated by Sterling Airlines.

Air Malawi subleased a Boeing 737-200 (23405) aircraft with Jt8D-17 engines from Linhas Aereas de Mocambique. The 1985-vintage aircraft is on lease from Boeing Capital Corp through April 2010.

Air Ivoire leased one Boeing 737-500 (25009) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from Apollo Capital Management. The 1991-vintage aircraft was previously operated by S7 Airlines.

Air Zena leased one Boeing 737-500 (28055) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from ILFC. The 1998-vintage aircraft was previously operated by OK Airways.

Baltia Air Lines purchased a Boeing 747-200B (21035) aircraft with JT9D-7F engines from Logistic Air. The 1975-vintage aircraft was last operated by Pakistan International Airlines.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines acquired a Boeing 777-200ER (28513) aircraft with Trent 884 engines from Singapore Airlines. The 1998-vintage aircraft is owned by Singapore Airlines.

CB Leasing purchased a Boeing 737-300 (24535) aircraft with CFM56-3B1 engines from Bank One. The 1989-vintage aircraft was previously operated by United Airlines.

Cimber Air subleased a Boeing 737-700 (32737) aircraft with CFM56-7B22 engines from Astraeus. The 2002-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Azzura Air.

Daimler Capital Services (as the owner participant) sold six Airbus A300-600R (423, 459, 460, 510, 511, 512) aircraft with CF6-80C2A5 engines to an undisclosed buyer. Fortune Aviation Services and AvCap Partners arranged the sale transaction. The aircraft are part of the 34 A300-600 American Airlines fleet that were financed under a leveraged lease structure with the same head lease/sub-lease on each aircraft. The lessee is Airbus A300 Leasing, Inc and American Airlines is the sub-lessee.  The first three aircraft (423, 459, 460) were built in 1988 and have leases expiring in June 2010. The remaining three aircraft (510, 511, 512) were built in 1989 and have leases expiring in May 2011.

Kalitta Air purchased a Boeing 747-300 (23969) aircraft with JT9D-7RG2 engines from Jalux. The 1987-vintage aircraft was previously by Japan Airlines.

Mihin Lakan leased an Airbus A320-200 (977) aircraft with V2527-A5 engines from BOC Aviation. The 1999-vintage ex-Qatar Airways aircraft was placed on lease to Air Deccan in 2004.

Pacificflier wet-leased an Airbus A310-300 (495) aircraft with CF6-80C2A2 engines from Hi Fly. The 1989-vintage aircraft is on lease from GA Telesis through 2013.

Parc Aviation acquired one Boeing 737-300 (28561) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from AFT. The 1997-vintage aircraft was previously operated by China Eastern Airlines.

Peruvian Airlines leased one Boeing 737-300 (24210) aircraft with CFM56-3B2 engines from Aviation Capital Group. The 1988-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Brasil Rodo Aereo.

SA Regional Airlines leased an Embraer 145MP (336) aircraft with AE3007A engines from ECC Leasing. The 2000-vintage ex-LOT Polish Airlines aircraft was previously operated by BMI Regional.

Santa Barbara Airlines leased a Boeing MD82 (49120) aircraft with JT8D-217 engines from PALS. The transaction was arranged by SkyHoldings. The 1982-vintage aircraft was last operated by Pegasus Aviation.

Sunwing Airlines wetleased a Boeing 737-800 (30637) aircraft with CFM56-7B26 engines from Viking Airlines. The 2001-vintage aircraft is owned by ILFC.

Silk Way Airlines wetleased a Boeing 747-400F (29732) aircraft with RB211-524GH-T engines from Freighter Leasing. The 1999-vintage aircraft has been operated by Cargolux Airlines since new.

Vision Air leased a Boeing 737-300 (24704) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from ILFC. The 1990-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Olympic Airlines.

Viva Aerobus acquired two Boeing 737-300 (23552, 23554) aircraft with CFM56-3B1 engines from AirAsia. The 1987-vintage ex-US Airways aircraft were operated by Indonesia AirAsia.

Webjet acquired one Boeing 737-300 (28742) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from GECAS. The 1998-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air New Zealand.
