ICBC Leasing acquires 737 Classic/NGs

Industrial Commercial Bank of China Financial Leasing has acquired a total of four Boeing narrowbody aircraft from Shenzhen Airlines.

ICBC Leasing purchased two 1994-vintage Boeing 737-300 (27345, 27346) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines as well as two Boeing 737-700 (30170, 32722) aircraft with CFM56-7B22 engines from the carrier. MSN 30170 was manufactured in 2000, while MSN 32722 was built in 2001.

The lease term is five years for each aircraft.

Aegean Airlines leased two new Airbus A321-200 aircraft with V2533-A5 engines from ILFC for six years. The aircraft are scheduled to deliver in March and April 2009.

Amerer Air agreed to acquire the first re-launched BAe 146-200QT freighter (2099) aircraft with ALF502-R5 engines from BAE Systems Asset Management. The 1988-vintage aircraft was last operated in passenger configuration by Flybe.

Aeromexico Connect leased an Embraer 145MP (406) with A3007A engines from RBS Aviation Capital. The 2001-vintage aircraft was previously leased to LOT Polish Airlines.

Aerosur agreed to lease a Boeing 747-300 (23030) with JT9D-7R4G2engines from Air Atlanta Icelandic for a period of five years. The 1984-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air India.

Air Atlanta Icelandic leased a second ex-Focus Air Boeing 747-200F (22304) with RB211-524D4 engines from Cargo Aircraft for a period of two years. The 1981-vintage was previously operated by Focus Air. It leased a Boeing 747-200F (22442) aircraft with RB211-524D4 engines from Cargo Aircraft last month.

Air France extended the lease of a 1999-vintage Airbus A300-600RF (755) with CF6-80C2A5 engines from Air Atlanta Icelandic through end of August 2008.

Blue Air leased a Boeing 737-800 (29925) with CFM56-7B24 engines from CIT Aerospace. The 2000-vintage aircraft was acquired from Ryanair earlier this year.

Blue Panorama leased one Boeing 767-300ER (27619) aircraft with PW4060 engines from ILFC for five years. The aircraft will deliver in October 2008. The 1995-vintage aircraft has been on lease to Varig – VRG Linhas Aereas since January this year.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines subleased a Boeing 747-200B (23547) with JT9D-7R4G2 engines from Kabo Air. The 1986-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Northwest Airlines.

Capital Cargo acquired one Boeing 767-200SF (22317) aircraft with CF6-80A engines from 767 Aircraft One LLC. The 1986-vintage aircraft was last operated by American Airlines.

Grandstar Cargo International purchased a Boeing 747-400F (26401) with PW4056 engines from Korean Airlines for start-up cargo operations. The 1996-vintage aircraft had been in operation with Korean Airlines since new. Grandstar plans to add a second 747-400F and two A300-600Fs to its fleet later this year.

Hainan Airlines has agreed to lease three Airbus A340-600 (436, 453, 475) aircraft with Trent 556-61 engines from ILFC. The 2002/03-vintage aircraft were previously operated by Cathay Pacific Airways.

Hamburg International Airlines has closed the sale and leaseback transaction on two new Airbus A319-100 (3533, 3560) aircraft with CVFM56-5B5/3 engines. HSH Nordbank’s Global Aircraft Fund closed the transaction which has a 10-year term through 2018, while HSH Nordbank provided the debt on both aircraft.

FedEx acquired a Boeing 757-200 (25490) with PW2037 engines from Wilmington Trust. The 1992-vintage aircraft was last operated by Fischer Air Poland.

Garuda Indonesia leased two Boeing 737-800 (30033, 30643) aircraft with CFM56-7B27/B1 engines from ILFC for eight years. The aircraft are scheduled to deliver in July and August 2008. The 2002-vintage aircraft was previously operated by ATA Airlines.

Gulf Air agreed to lease three Airbus A330-200 (527, 529, 532) aircraft with Trent 772B-60 engines from ILFC for eight years. The 2003-vintage aircraft, currently operated by Middle East Airlines, are scheduled to deliver in March, April and May 2009.

Iberia wetleased an A340-300 (170) aircraft with CFM56-5C4 engines from Audeli. The 1997-vintage aircraft was previously leased to Air Canada.

Korean Air agreed to lease two new Boeing 737-800 (37162, 37163) aircraft with CFM56-7B26/3 engines from ILFC for eight years each. The aircraft are scheduled to deliver in March and April 2009.

Kabo Air acquired a Boeing 747-200B (23548) aircraft with JT9D-7R4G2 engines from Verizon Communications. The 1986-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Northwest Airlines.

MNG Airlines has agreed to purchase an Airbus A300-600F (758) aircraft with CF6-80C2A5 engines from GAFC, a Cayman-based company whose assets are managed by Avinco. The 1999-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air Atlanta Icelandic. Avinco arranged the transaction. MNG Airlines plans to buy an additional A300-600F aircraft this year.

Miami Air International leases one Boeing 737-800 (30675) aircraft with CFM56-7B27/B1 engines aircraft from ILFC for four years. The 2001-vintage aircraft was previously operated by ATA Airlines.

Norwegian Air Shuttle leased a new Boeing 737-800 (35280) aircraft with CFM56-7B26/3 engines from ILFC.

Norwegian Air Shuttle leased a new Boeing 737-800 (36809) aircraft with CFM56-7B26/3 engines from GECAS.

Oman Air leased one new Boeing 737-800 (37161) aircraft with CFM56-7B26/3 engines from ILFC for 10 years. The aircraft is scheduled to deliver in March 2009.

Orenair leased two Boeing 737-800 (28244, 28247) aircraft with CFM56-7B27/B1 engines from ILFC for five years. The aircraft are scheduled to deliver in July and August 2008. The 2001/02-vintage aircraft was previously operated by ATA Airlines.

PrivatAir leased a new Boeing 737-800 (35278) aircraft with CFM56-7B26/3 engines from ILFC.

Saudi Arabian Airlines agreed to lease (ACMI) one 747-300 (23032) aircraft with JT9D-7R4G2 engines from Air Atlanta Icelandic through December 2009. The 1984-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Corsair International.

Saudi Arabian Airlines extended the wet lease agreement of one Boeing 747-200F (21835) aircraft with CF6-50E2 engines from Air Atlanta Icelandic for an additional two years, or until June 2010. The 1979-vintage aircraft is leased by Arkia Leasing to Air Atlanta Icelandic.

Rossiya leased two Airbus A320-200 aircraft and three Boeing 767-300ER aircraft from ILFC for five years. The A320-200 (427, 525) aircraft are powered by CFM56-5A3 engines and were previously operated by USA300 and Germanwings, respectively. The Boeing 767-300ER (27616, 27617, 29390) aircraft are powered by CF6-80C2B6F engines for seven years. The first two aircraft were manufactured in 1998 and operated since new by Skymark Airlines. MSN was built in 2002 and operated since new by Skymark Airlines.

SATA agreed to lease one new Airbus A320-200 aircraft with CFM56-5B4/3 engines from ILFC for six years. The aircraft will deliver in May 2009.

S7 Airlines agreed lease two new Airbus A320-200 aircraft, four Boeing 737-800 aircraft and one Boeing 767-300ER aircraft from ILFC.
The new Airbus A320-200 aircraft will be powered by CFM56-5B4/3 engines and are scheduled to deliver in April and May 2009. The lease terms are for eight years and six years, respectively.
The Boeing 737-800 (28239, 28243, 28245, 30640) aircraft are powered by CFM56-7B27/B1 engines and are scheduled to deliver in July and August 2008. The lease terms are for six years each. The 2001-vintage aircraft was previously operated by ATA Airlines.
The Boeing 767-300ER (28884) aircraft is powered by CF6-80C2B6F engines and will deliver in October 2008. The lease term is for six years. The 1999-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Malev.

Shanghai Airlines leased one new Boeing 737-800 (35281) aircraft with CFM56-7B26/3 engines from ILFC for 10 years. The aircraft will deliver in August 2008.

TUI Group has mandated the financing of two additional Boeing 737-800 (35142, 35143) aircraft with CFM56-7B engines to HSH Nordbank’s Global Aircraft Fund. Both aircraft, scheduled for delivery in July and October 2008, will be sold and leased back for a period of eight years.

Trans Air Congo acquired a Boeing 737-200A (23172) aircraft with JT8D-15A engines from Automatic. The 1985-vintage aircraft was last operated by Aerolineas Argentinas.

Ukraine International Airlines leased a Boeing 737-300F (24462) aircraft with CFM56-3B2 engines from GECAS. The 1989-vintage aircraft was formerly operated as a passenger version by easyJet and then as a cargo aircraft by Kitty Hawk Air Cargo.

Vietnam Airlines leased two Airbus A330-200 (275, 366) aircraft with PW4168A engines from ILFC for eight years. The aircraft will deliver in April 2009. Both aircraft were manufactured in 1999 and operated by Swiss since new.
Vietnam Airlines also agreed to lease four new Airbus A321-200 aircraft with V2533-A5 engines from ILFC for 10 years. The aircraft will deliver in April, June, July 2009 and May 2010.

Viva Aerobus leased a Boeing 737-300 (23956) aircraft with CFM56-3B2 engines from Aircastle Investment. The 1988-vintage aircraft was previously leased to GOL Transportes Aereos.

XL Airways France leased a new Boeing 737-800 (35279) aircraft with CFM56-7B26/3 engines from ILFC for a period of 10 years.
