Ex-EasyJet 737-700s find homes
Operating lessors AWAS and BOC Aviation have found new homes for some of their 737-700s that are being released by EasyJet.
AWAS has placed MSN 32416 earlier this month to Aires Columbia. The aircraft is the fourth 737-700 now leased by the Columbian carrier from AWAS. The lessor also placed MSN 32416 to Eastar Jet. The 2003-vintage aircraft is equipped with CFM56-7B20 engines.
BOC Aviation has leased two 737-700s (32419, 32420) aircraft with CFM56-7B20 engines to Turkish Airlines. Both 2003-vintage aircraft were on a seven-year operating lease contract to EasyJet. The first aircraft is scheduled to be delivered this month, the second in April.
Earlier this month, Turkish Airlines agreed to lease a 737-700 (34760) with CFM56-7B22 engines from Continuity Air Finance VIII B.V, the special purpose vehicle set up by Lloyds Banking Group (Halifax Bank of Scotland). The 2007-vintage aircraft was previously operated by SkyEurope Airlines, has been placed on operating lease for more than five years.
EasyJet still operates eight aircraft on operating leases.
Amerijet International leased two Boeing 767-200F (22215, 22787) aircraft with CF6-80A2 engines from Cargo Aircraft Management for a period of seven years. MSN 22215 is a 1982-vintage aircraft that was last operated as a passenger aircraft by Delta Air Lines. MSN 22787 is a 1983-vintage aircraft that was previously operated as a passenger aircraft by ABX Air.
Avia Nova leased an Airbus A320-200 (1918) aircraft with V2527-A5 engines from Aviation Capital Group. The 2003-vintage aircraft was previously leased to EasyJet.
Brit Air leased a Bombardier CRJ-900 (150063) aircraft with CF34-8C5 engines from Bombardier Capital. The 2006-vintage aircraft was previously operated by AtlasJet Airlines.
Chengdu Airlines leased an Airbus A319-100 (2762) aircraft with CFM56-5B5/P engines from GECAS. The 2006-vintage aircraft was previously operated by East Star Airlines.
Corendon Airlines leased a Boeing 737-800 (29121) aircraft with CFM56-7B27 engines from Air Berlin. The 1999-vintage aircraft was operated by Air Berlin since new.
Delta Air Lines purchased a Boeing MD90 (53582) aircraft with V2525-D5 engines from China Eastern Airlines. The 1997-vintage aircraft was operated by China Eastern since new.
Eastok Avia leased an Airbus A320-200 (445) aircraft with CFM56-5A3 engines from Nordic Aviation Capital. The 1993-vintage aircraft was previously operated by LTE International Airways.
MontAir wetleased two Boeing MD83 (49602, 49986) aircraft with JT8D-219 engines from Dubrovnik Airlines. MSN 49602 is a 1987-vintage aircraft was operated by Bouraq Indonesian Airlines before moving to Dubrovnik Airlines in 2005. MSN 49986 is a 1991-vintage aircraft was operated by Star Air Indonesia before moving to Dubrovnik Airlines in 2005.
MNG Cargo purchased two 737-400 (24126, 24128) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from Defag. Both 1989-vintage ex-Futura international Airways aircraft have been converted into freighter aircraft.
Nordic Aviation Capital acquired an Airbus A320-200 (445) aircraft with CFM56-5A3 engines from AeroTurbine. The 1993-vintage aircraft was previously operated by LTE International Airways.
Onur Air leased three Airbus A330-300 (72, 98, 143) aircraft from ILFC on five-year lease terms. ILFC will deliver the aircraft in April and June. MSN 72 is a 1995-vintage aircraft with PW4168 engines that was previously leased to Iberworld. MSN 98 is a 1995-vintage aircraft with Trent 772-60 engines that was previously leased to Dragonair. MSN 143 is a 1996-vintage aircraft with PW4168 engines that was previously leased to Malaysian Airlines.
Orbis International acquired a Boeing DC10-30F (46800) aircraft with CF6-50C2 engines form FedEx. The 1973-vintage aircraft was operated by FedEx since 1983. The aircraft will replace the current aircraft Orbis International operates.
Regourd Aviation leased an Embraer 135ER (145252) aircraft with AE3007-A3 engines from Regional. The 2000-vintage aircraft was operated by Proteus Airlines (Regional) since new.
Sky Airlines leased a Boeing 737-800 (28323) aircraft with CFM56-7B26 engines from Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS). The 2000-vintage aircraft was previously leased to Air Europa.
Zambesi Airlines wetleased a Boeing 737-500 (29074) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from Estonian Air. The 1998-vintage aircraft is owned by MC Aviation Partners.
