AerSale purchases 25 MD-90s

AerSale has agreed to acquire 25 of Saudi Arabian Airlines' Boeing MD-90s.

The Florida-based lessor completed the acquisition of the first aircraft (MSN 53506) last week. Saudi will be delivering a further two aircraft later in the month.

Saudi is selling 24 of the 27 MD-90s it retired from service between 2009 and 2011, as well as one MD-90 it is actively flying as a VIP aircraft for the Saudi royal family, according to a source.

The Middle Eastern carrier will be delivering three aircraft a month to AerSale, culminating in the delivery of the VIP aircraft sometime next year.

AeroContractors agreed to lease four Boeing 737-400 (25713, 25715, 25716, 25718) with CFM56-3C1 engines from Haklag. The 1993-vintage aircraft were previously operated by Garuda Indonesia.

AirMark Indonesia Aviation agreed to lease a Boeing 737-300SF (23535) aircraft with CFM56-3B2 engines from GECAS. The 1986-vintage aircraft was previously operated by TNT Airways.

Allied Air wetleased a Boeing MD11F (48631) aircraft with PW4460 engines from World Airways. The 1994-vintage aircraft was previously operated by FedEx.

Bingo leased an Airbus A320 (2118) aircraft with V2527-A5 engines from MCAP Europe for a period of five years. The 2003-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Pegasus Airlines.

Brussels Airlines added an Airbus A319 (1963) aircraft with CFM56-5B6/P engines to its fleet. The 2003-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air Canada. The carrier had previously agreed to lease one 2007-vintage A319 (3255) aircraft from Banc of America Leasing as well as two 2002-vintage A320 (1797, 1838) aircraft previously operated by Air Berlin.

CBG purchased a Dornier 328 Jet (3178) aircraft PW306B engines from Jetran International. The 1998-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Vision Airlines.

Delta Air Lines purchased two Boeing MD-90 (53353, 53356) aircraft with V2525-D5 engines from Japan Airlines. The 1995/96-vintage aircraft were operated by Japan Airlines since new.

Donavia agreed to lease an Airbus A319 (1630) aircraft with CFM56-5B6/P engines from ILFC. The 2002-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air Canada.

Enter Air leased a Boeing 737-400 (28038) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from Aircraft MSN 28038 (Aircastle is the manager). The 1996-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Malaysia Airlines.

Key Lime Air leased a Dornier 328 Jet (3178) aircraft PW306B engines from CBG. The 1998-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Vision Airlines.

Onur Air leased an Airbus A320 (543) aircraft with V2527-A5 engines from ILFC. The 1996-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Avianova.

Onur Air leased an Airbus A321 (1008) aircraft with V2527-A5 engines from AerCap. The 1999-vintage aircraft was previously operated by AirBlue.

Southern Air leased a Boeing 747-400 (27044) aircraft with PW4056 engines from Aircastle. The 1994-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Malaysian Airlines.

Sayegh Group Aviation purchased a Boeing 737-400 (25839) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from CSA Czech Airlines. The 1991-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Holidays Czech Airlines.

SAM Air leased a Boeing 737-400 (25839) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from Sayegh Group Aviation. The 1991-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Holidays Czech Airlines.

Shaheen Air International leased a Boeing 737-400 (27116) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from AAR Aircraft Sales & Leasing. The 1992-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Malaysia Airlines.

TNT Airways leased a Boeing 737-400SF (29210) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from GECAS. The 1998-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Garuda Indonesia.

Yamal Airlines leased an Airbus A320 (1918) aircraft with V2527-A5 engines from Aviation Capital Group. The 2002-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Avianova.
