AerSale buys 19 Boeing 747-400s from JAL

AerSale has completed its 'second of several large-scale' fleet purchases with the acquisition of 19 Boeing 747-400s from Japan Airlines.

The acquisition consists of two 747-400 domestic passenger aircraft as well as 17 747-400 International aircraft (MSNs 24423, 24425, 24426, 24427, 24777, 24784, 24870, 24885, 24886, 25064, 25212, 25260, 25308, 26341, 26342, 26343, 26346).

The Domestic and International aircraft, which are powered by CF6-80C2B1F engines, were built between 1990 and 1992.

Alwafeer Air wetleased three Airbus A310-300 (448, 494, 576) aircraft with CF6-80C2A2 engines from White for Hajj flights. MSN 448 was built in 1998, MSN 494 in 1989 while MSN 576 was manufactured in 1991.

Air26 leased an Embraer 135LR (724) aircraft with AE3007-A3 engines from Servicos Executivos Aereos de Angola. The 2003-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Chautauqua Airlines.

Asia Wings wetleased an Airbus A320-200 (211) aircraft with CFM56-5A1 engines from BH Air. The 1991-vintage aircraft was last operated by Air France.

Bahrain Air wetleased an Airbus A330-300 (54) aircraft with CF6-80E1A2 engines from Air Asia X for Hajj flights. The 1994-vintage aircraft is leased by AWAS to Air Aisia X.

Bluebird Airways leased a Boeing 737-400 (24704) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from ILFC. The 1990-vintage aircraft was previously leased to Vision Air.

BH Air leased an Airbus A320-200 (211) aircraft with CFM56-5A1 engines from AerCap. The 1991-vintage aircraft was last operated by Air France.

Copa Airlines Columbia leased a Boeing 737-800 (28607) aircraft with CFM56-7B24 engines from GECAS. The 1999-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Copa Airlines.

Eastok Avia leased an Airbus A320-200 (386) aircraft with V2500-A1 engines from AerCap. The 1994-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air India.

Fuji Dream Airlines acquired an Embraer 170LR (129) aircraft with CF34-8E5 engines from Republic Airways in a transaction arranged by Skyworld Aviation. The 2006-vintage aircraft has been operated by Republic since new.

Garuda Indonesia wetleased a Boeing 767-300ER (28979) aircraft with CF6-80C2B7F engines from Thomson Airways for Hajj flights. The 1998-vintage aircraft has been operated by Thomson Airways since new.

Garuda Indonesia sia wetleased two Boeing 747-400 (25703, 26749) aircraft with PW4056 engines from Pullmantur Air for Hajj flights. MSN 25703 is an ex-Air India aircraft, which was built in 1994. MSN 26749 is an ex-Singapore Airlines aircraft, which was built in 1994.

Garuda Indonesia wetleased an Airbus A330-300 (480) aircraft with Trent 772B-60 engines from Air Transat for Hajj flights. The 2002-vintage aircraft is leased by ILFC to Air Transat.

Garuda Indonesia wetleased two Airbus A330-300 (349, 356) aircraft with Trent 772B-60 engines from Thomas Cook Scandinavia for Hajj flights. Both aircraft were manufactured in 2000.

Kalitta Air acquired a Boeing 747-200 (23111) aircraft with JT9D-7Q engines from Delta Air Lines. The 1984-vintage aircraft was operated by Northwest Airlines since new.

Kalitta Air acquired three Boeing 747-200 (24177, 23736, 23737) aircraft with JT9D-7R4G2 engines from Delta Air Lines. The 1987/88-vintage aircraft were operated by Northwest Airlines since new.

Petra Airlines acquired an Airbus A320-200 (459) aircraft with CFM56-5A3 engines from Gulf Air. The 1994-vintage aircraft has been operated by Gulf Air since new.

Petro Air leased a Fokker F100 (11416) aircraft with Tay 650-15 engines from Trade Air. The 1992-vintage aircraft was acquired in 2004 from Aircraft Trust.

Phuket Air leased a Boeing 747-400 (26474) aircraft with PW4056 engines from Fargo Bank NW NA Trustee. The 1994-vintage aircraft was last operated by United Airlines.

Sunwing Airlines subleased a Boeing 737-800 (35145) aircraft with CFM56-7B27/3 engines from Thomson Airways. The 2009-vintage aircraft is leased to Thomson Airways by RBS Aviation Capital.

Swift Air leased a Boeing 767-200 (22694) with CF6-80A engines from MLW Air. The 1983-vintage aircraft was last operated by Pace Airlines.

WebJet leased two Boeing 737-300 (28560, 28567) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from GECAS. The 1997-vintage aircraft were previously operated by Viking Airlines.

Yakutia Air leased a Boeing 737-800 (28617) aircraft with CFM56-7B27 engines from Oak Hill Capital. The 2000-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Viking Airlines.
