Airblue to lease two ex-Turkish Airlines A340s

Pakistani carrier Airblue has signed a five-year agreement with International Lease Finance Corporation for two Airbus A340-300 aircraft.

Both aircraft are powered by CFM56-5C4 engines and were previously operated by Turkish Airlines. The first aircraft, MSN 216, was built in 1998. The second aircraft, MSN 257, was manufactured in 1999. Both aircraft are scheduled for delivery later this month, says Airblue.

Asian Express Airline acquired two BAE Systems Avro RJ100 (E3320, E3356) aircraft with LF507-1F engines from Trident Jet Leasing. The 1997/99-vintage aircraft were previously operated by BA CityFlyer.

Air Bostwana purchased a BAE Systems Avro RJ85 (E2303) aircraft with LF507-1F engines from Lufthansa. The 1997-vintage aircraft was operated by Lufthansa Cityline since new.

Bahamasair agreed to lease a Boeing 737-500 (27356) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from GECAS. The 1994-vintage was previously operated by Aerolineas Argentinas.

Brussels Airlines agreed to lease an Airbus A319 (2400) aircraft with CFM56-5B5/P engines from GECAS. The 2005-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Frontier Airlines.

Jetstar Pacific leased an Airbus A320 (2331) aircraft with V2527-A5 engines from Aviation Capital Group. The 2004-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Tiger Airways.

Garuda Indonesia (Citilink) leased an Airbus A320 (2692) aircraft with V2527-A5 engines from Aviation Capital Group. The 2006-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Royal Jordanian.

HiFly subleased an Airbus A340-300 (450) aircraft with CFM56-5C4 engines from SAS. The 2002-vintage aircraft were previously operated by Royal Australian Air Force.

Nusantara Air Charter acquired a BAE Systems Avro RJ100 (E3243) aircraft with ALF507-1F engines from Trident Jet Leasing. The 1994-vintage aircraft was previously operated by National Jet Systems.

Magnicharters leased a Boeing 737-300 (23827) aircraft with CFM56-3B2 engines from Automatic. The 1987-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Airlift.

Mega Maldives Airlines leased a Boeing 757-200 (25623) aircraft with RB211-535E4 engines from ILFC. The 1993-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air Finland.

Onur Air subleased an Airbus A320 (1605) aircraft with CFM56-5B4/P engines from Saga Airlines. The 2001-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Thomson Airways.

Orenair purchased a Boeing 737-800 (30881) aircraft with CFM56-7B26 engines from Air Berlin. The 2002-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air Berlin.

Swiftair acquired a Boeing MD-83 (53190) aircraft with JT8D-219 engines from AWAS. The 1993-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air Austral.

Sriwijaya Air agreed to lease a Boeing 737-500 (27326) aircraft with CFM56-3B1 engines from GECAS. The 1994-vintage aircraft was previously operated by United Airlines.
