Arik Air acquires the $38 million SkyEurope slots
Arik Air has acquired two new Boeing 737-700s (34761, 34762) with CFM56-7B22 engines that were meant to be delivered to SkyEurope Airlines. Both slots were sold last month to Citibank for a rumoured $38 million each.
Air Niugini wet-leased an Airbus A310-300 (573) with CF6-80C2A2 engines from White Airways for a period of five months. The 1991-vintage aircraft is on lease from Macquarie Aircraft Leasing through 2011.
Air Service leased one Bombardier CRJ-100 (7126) with CF34-3A1 engines from BNP Paribas. The 1996-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air Littoral. Air Service already operates ex-Air Littoral MSN 7182.
AP Finance acquired through a lease and purchase agreement a Boeing MD-83 (49769) with JT8D-219 engines from Nordic Aviation Contractors. The transaction was arranged by Skyways Aviation. The aircraft is to be placed with PMT Airlines of Cambodia on ACMI lease under the ownership of AP Finance.
CSDS Aircraft Sales and Leasing acquired a British Aerospace 146-200 (2082) with engines from Air Wisconsin. The aircraft is subject to a lease to SOL Dominicana Airlines.
Jet Airways leased a second new Boeing 737-800 (36847) with CFM56-7B24 engines from Aviation Capital Group. It received MSN 36847 in September.
Kulula leased through an ACMI contract a 2001-vintage Boeing 737-800 (30392) with CFM56-7B27 engines from Transavia Airlines through April 2008.
South African Express Airways leased a Bombardier CRJ-200ER (7287) with CF34-3B1 engines from US Bank NA Trustee. The 1999-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Independence Air.
Sunwing Airlines subleased a Boeing 737-800 (33699) with CFM56-7B27 engines from Eurocypria Airlines. The 2003-vintage aircraft is on lease from ILFC.
Sunwing Airlines leased a 2001-vintage Boeing 737-800 (30391) with CFM56-7B27 engines from Transavia Airlines.
Skybus Airlines leased an Airbus A319-100s (639) with CFM56-5A5 engines from GECAS. The 1997-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air Canada.
