Etihad leases A330 for Air Seychelles use
Etihad Airways leased an Airbus A330-200 (0807) aircraft with Trent 772B-60 engines from ILFC. The 2006-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Jet Airways.
The aircraft will be wetleased to Air Seychelles early next year with a view to converting it to a dry operating lease by mid-2013.
The Seychellois flag carrier took delivery of its first wet leased A330 (MSN 751) from Etihad in July. Air Seychelles is using the wet leases as an interim solution while its pilots complete training for the type.
Etihad acquired a 40% stake in Air Seychelles in January, since which time the Abu Dhabi-based carrier has been closely involved in the latter's restructuring efforts.
Air Do leased a Boeing 737-700 (33916) aircraft with CFM56-7B22 engines from All Nippon Airways. The 2005-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air Nippon.
Binter Canarias wetleased a Bombardier CRJ200ER (7981) aircraft with CF34-3B1 engines from Air Nostrum. The 2004-vintage aircraft is owned by Natixis Lease.
Cemair leased a Bombardier CRJ200LR (7326) aircraft with CF34-3B1 engines from ALF V. The 1999-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Comair.
ExpressJet Airlines subleased four Bombardier CRJ700ER (10082, 10112, 10113, 10122) aircraft with CF34 8C1 engines from Delta Air Lines. The 2003-vintage aircraft were previously operated by Comair.
ExpressJet Airlines leased a Bombardier CRJ900ER (15171) aircraft with CF34-8C5 engines from Delta Air Lines. The 2008-vintage aircraft was operated by Comair since new.
Jetstar Pacific Airlines leased an Airbus A320 (2331) aircraft with V2527-A5 engines from Aviation Capital Group. The 2004-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Tiger Airways.
Niki transferred an Airbus A321 (3830) aircraft with CFM56-5B3/3 engines to Air Berlin. The 2009-vintage aircraft was operated by FlyNiki since new.
Skywest Airlines leased a Bombardier CRJ900ER (15168) aircraft with CF34-8C5 engines from Delta Air Lines. The 2008-vintage aircraft was operated by Comair since new.
Sky Airline agreed to lease an Airbus A319 (2548) aircraft with CFM56-5B6/P engines from DAE Capital. The 2005-vintage aircraft was previously operated by EasyJet.
Sriwijaya Air agreed to leased a Boeing 737-800 (27985) aircraft with CFM56-7B26 engines from AerCap. The 1999-vintage aircraft was previously operated by TUIfly.
Sunwing Airlines subleased a Boeing 737-800 (35275) aircraft with CFM56-7B26/3 engines from Travel Service. The 2006-vintage aircraft is owned by ILFC.
US Airways purchased an Embraer 190 (19000166) aircraft with CF34-10E6 engines from Republic Airlines. The 2008-vintage aircraft were operated by Republic Airlines since 2009.
