Apollo Aviation acquires A321 for part out
Apollo Aviation acquired an Airbus A321-200 (956) aircraft with CFM56-5B3/P engines from Kingdom Holdings for part out in a transaction arranged by Bristol Associates. The 1999-vintage aircraft was operated by Air France and Vietnam Airlines under lease agreements with GECAS before it was sold to Kingdom Holdings at the end of 2006.
According to Flightglobal's ACAS database, the aircraft had accumulated 12,431 cycles and 18,617 hours through December 2006.
The transaction marks the first Airbus A321 aircraft being sold for part out. CAO understands that the two engines need restoration.
Aerolineas Argentinas is to lease three Airbus A340-300 (123, 126, 128) aircraft with CFM56-5C4 engines that were previously operated by Cathay Pacific Airways. The carrier already operates four aircraft of the type, but CAO understands that a 1993-vintage aircraft, MSN 123, is joining the fleet. According to Flightglobal's ACAS database, the aircraft is owned by Air Trade Capital and was placed on a 10-year lease to Cathay in 2001. The 1996-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Singapore Airlines and acquired by Boeing Capital Corp.
Aeromexico leased a Boeing 767-200ER (24728) aircraft with PW4056 engines from Aviation Capital Group. The 1990-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Avianca.
Airbus A300 Leasing purchased two Airbus A300B4-600R (507, 508) aircraft with CF6 engines off lease from Wilmington Trust, as trustee. The 1989-vintage aircraft were operated by American Airlines since new.
Air Lease Corporation acquired an Airbus A330-200 (1138) aircraft with Trent 772C-60 engines from AerCap. The 2010-vintage aircraft has a lease attached to Sichuan Airlines.
Armavia leased a Bombardier CRJ200LR (7499) aircraft with CF34-3B2 engines from Bombardier Capital. The 2001-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Lufthansa Cityline.
Canjet Airlines subleased a Boeing 737-800 (35093) aircraft with CFM56-7B26 engines from XL Airways Germany. The 2007-vintage aircraft is owned by MCAP.
Cargolux leased a Boeing 747-400PC (24619) aircraft with PW4056 engines from Boeing Capital Corp. The 1990-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Korean Airlines since new.
Cathay Pacific Airways transferred a Boeing 747-400BCF (27067) aircraft with PW4056 engines to China Cargo Airlines. The 1992-vintage ex-Singapore Airlines aircraft was converted into a freighter for Dragonair in 2007.
Jet Time leased a Boeing 737-300 (23808) with CFM56-3B2 engines from Babcock & Brown Aircraft Management. The 1987-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Blue Panorama Airlines.
Kelowna Flightcraft purchased two Boeing DC-10-30F (47927, 47929) aircraft with CF6-50C2 engines from Bank of Utah, as trustee. The 1975-vintage aircraft were last operated by Omni Air International.
MC Aviation Partners purchased an Airbus A320-200 (2724) aircraft with V2527-A5 engines from Q Aviation. The 2006-vintage aircraft was acquired by Q Aviation under a purchase and leaseback agreement with Tiger Airways Singapore. It has another seven-year lease with the Singapore-based carrier.
Rusline leased four Bombardier CRJ100/200LR (7359, 7546, 7364, 7482) aircraft with CF34-3A1/B1 engines from Sky Swallows. The 1999/2000/2001-vintage aircraft were previously operated by Comair.
Sky Swallows, a Bermuda-based company, purchased four ex-Comair Bombardier CRJ aircraft in a transaction arranged by Aircraft Leasing & Management. The four aircraft includes two -200LR (MSNs 7364, 7482) and two -100LR (MSNs 7359, 7546) that are equipped with CF34-3A1/B1 engines. MSNs 7364, 7482 and 7546 are 2000/01-vintage aircraft that were under the owenership of Wells Fargo NW NA Trustee, as trustee, according to Flightglobal's ACAS database. MSN 7359 is a 1999-vintage aircraft that was acquired by Avionco Canada Ltd last year.
Sky Wings Airlines purchased an Airbus A320-200 (368) aircraft with V2500-A1 engines from Aviation Capital Group. The 1994-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Mexicana.
Small Planet Airways leased a Boeing 737-300 (24327) with CFM56-3B2 engines from Jetscape. The 1989-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Norwegian Air Shuttle.
TACA leased an Airbus A319-100 (2066) aircraft with CFM56-5B6/P engines from the CIT Group. The 2003-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Mexicana.
T7 Aviation Leasing acquired a Boeing 777-222ER (26943) aircraft with PW4090 engines from U.S. Bank Trust NA. The 1997-vintage aircraft will be operated by Omni Air International. Bristol Associates arranged the transaction on behalf of the Seller, U.S. Bank Trust NA, not in its individual capacity but solely as owner trustee.
White leased an Airbus A320-200 (726) aircraft with CFM56-5A1 engines from ILFC. The 1997-vintage aircraft was previously operated by SmartLynx.
