Skywest signs LOI for CRJ900s

Skywest Inc. has agreed to lease four used Bombardier CRJ900ER (15102, 15103, 15110, 15112) aircraft with CF34-8C5 engines. The US regional carrier signed a letter of Intent with operating leasing company Waha Leasing for long-term leases.

The aircraft were manufactured in 2007 and were acquired by Waha Leasing through a 14-year sale and leaseback transaction with MyAir in 2008. According to Flightglobal's ACAS database, Skywest Airlines operates a 242 CRJ aircraft fleet, among which 21 CRJ900s.

AeroMexico Travel leased a Boeing MD83 (49848) aircraft with JT8D-219 engines from PALS. The 1989-vintage aircraft was previously operated by EuroAir Greece.

Aladia leased a Boeing 767-200ER (23306) aircraft with JT9D-7R4E engines from KMW Leasing. The 1985-vintage aircraft was last operated by Maxjet Airways.

Avianova leased two Airbus A320-200 (1918, 1969) aircraft with V2527-A5 engines from Aviation Capital Group. The 2003-vintage aircraft were previously operated by EasyJet.

Aviation Capital Solutions purchased five BAe 146-300 (E3129, E3149, E3158, E3162, E3165) aircraft with ALF502-R5 engines from BAE Systems. The five aircraft were built between 1989 and 1991 and were previously operated by Air Dolomiti and Eurowings.

Austral Lineas Argentina purchased a Boeing MD83 (49906) aircraft with JT8D-219 engines off-lease from Aviation Capital Group. The 1990-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air Comet.

Corendon Air leased a Boeing 737-800 (29121) aircraft with CFM56-7B27 engines from Joachim Hunold & Co. The 1999-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air Berlin.

EuroCypria Airlines leased a Boeing 737-800 (33699) aircraft with CFM56-7B27 engines from ILFC. The 2003-vintage aircraft were previously operated by Sunwing Airlines.

Norwind Airlines leased a Boeing 757-200ER (30046) aircraft with PW2040 engines from ILFC for a period of four years. The 2002-vintage aircraft was previously leased to Finnair.

Royal Jordanian leased an Airbus A330-200 (979) aircraft with PW4168A engines from Amentum Capital. The 2009-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air Comet.

Sky Airlines leased two Boeing 737-800 (32348, 32576) aircraft with CFM56-7B27 engines from GECAS. The 2001-vintage aircraft were previously operated by GOL Transportes Aereos.

Sun Express signed lease extensions on two Boeing 737-800 (30272, 30274) aircraft with CFM56-7B26 engines with Aviation Capital Group. The 2001-vintage aircraft were operated by Sun Express since 2005.

US Airways signed lease extensions on four Boeing 737-300s (23748, 23776, 23777, 23778) aircraft with CFM56-3B1 engines with Aviation Capital Group. The 1987-vintage aircraft were operated by America West Airlines since new.

Servicios Integrales de Aviación (FlyMex) leased for two Embraer ERJ-135LR (145737, 145687) aircraft with AE3007 engines from ECC Leasing Company. The 2003-vintage aircraft were previously operated by Chautuaqua Airlines.

Southwest Airlines signed a lease extension on one Boeing 737-300 (23752) aircraft with CFM56-3B1 engines with Aviation Capital Group. The aircraft was built in 1987.

Spanair signed a lease extension on one Airbus A321-200 (1843) aircraft with V2533-A5 engines with Aviation Capital Group. The 2002-vintage aircraft was leased to Spanair since new.

Thomas Cook Airlines subleased two Airbus A330s from Thomas Cook Scandinavia. The first aircraft, MSN 309, is a 1999-vintage A330-200 with Trent 772B-60 engines. The second aircraft, MSN 356, is a 2000-vintage A330-300 with Trent 772B-60 engines.

Thomson Airways subleased a Boeing 757-200ER (29379) aircraft with RB211-535E4 engines from Belair. The 2000-vintage aircraft is owned by ILFC.

Transaero Airlines leased a Boeing 777-200ER (28714) aircraft with PW4090 engines from ALAFCO for a period of five years. The 1999-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air India and is scheduled for delivery in May. The transaction was arranged by Midair SA.

Transavia subleased a Boeing 737-700 (33920) aircraft with CFM56-7B22 engines from EnerJet. The 2005-vintage aircraft is leased by Aviation Capital Group to EnerJet through 2013.

Turkish Airlines leased a Boeing 737-800 (30296) aircraft with CFM56-7B27 engines from Aircastle Investment. The 2005-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air India Express.

Xtra Airways leased a Boeing 737-400 (25105) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from AWAS. The 1993-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Alaska Airlines.

Yakutia Air leased a Boeing 737-800 (28825) aircraft with CFM56-7B26 engines from AerCap. The 1999-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air Berlin.
