EasyJet sells A321, mandate BAE Systems for remaining four aircraft

Turkish Airlines purchased an Airbus A321-200 (3382) with V2533-A5 engines from EasyJet. The 2008-vintage aircraft was previously operated by GB Airways.

EasyJet also awarded BAE Systems Asset Management the 'exclusive mandate' to remarket four of the five remaining Airbus A321-200s. The low-cost carrier mandated Focus Aviation last summer for seven ex-GB Airways aircraft. Focus sold two aircraft to Monarch Airlines in November in a deal believed to be $84 million, according to the Financial Times.

The four A321-200 aircraft (MSN 1869, 2462, 2682, 3106) are powered by V2533-A5 engines and are available for delivery in September and October. All are operated by EasyJet after it acquired former British Airways franchise partner carrier GB Airways in January 2008.

The first aircraft was delivered to GB Airways in December 2002, the second in May 2005, the third in May 2006 while the remaining aircraft was delivered in May 2007.

Alpine Air wetleased an Airbus A319-100 (2700) aircraft with CFM56-5B5/P engines from Bahrain Air. The 2006-vintage aircraft is on lease from GECAS.

Bahrain Air leased a pair of new Airbus A320-200s (3931, 3942) from Aviation Lease and Finance Company (ALAFCO). Both aircraft are powered by CFM56-5B4/3 engines.

Blue Panorama Airlines leased a Boeing 737-300 (23808) with CFM56-3B2 engines from Babcock & Brown Aircraft Management. The 1987-vintage aircraft was previously operated by AirAsia.

Capital Airways (US department of Justice) leased a Boeing 737-300 (23231) aircraft with CFM56-3B1 engines from Greenwich Kahala Airlease. The 1985-vintage aircraft was last operated by United Airlines.

Elite Aviation leased an Airbus A320-200 (1257) with V2527-A5 engines from Blue Wings. The 2000-vintage aircraft was acquired from JetBlue Airways in 2006.

Eheim Verwaltungs purchased a Boeing 737-400 (25178) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from GECAS. The 1992-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Futura International Airways.

Kyrgyz Trans Avia subleased an Airbus A310-300 (495) aircraft with CF6-80C2A2 engines from HiFly. The 1989-vintage aircraft is leased by GA Telesis to HiFly.

Kyrgyz Trans Avia acquired an Airbus A310-300 (564) aircraft with CF6-80C2A2 engines from Czech Airlines. The 1991-vintage aircraft has been operated by Czech Airlines since new.

Primera Air transferred a Boeing 737-700 (28210) aircraft with CFM56-7B24 engines to Primera Air Scandinavia. The 2007-vintage ex-Sterling Airlines is on lease from ILFC.

TAME leased an Airbus A320-200 (934) with V2527-A5 engines from AerCo Group. The 1999-vintage aircraft was previously operated by bmi British Midland.

UTAir leased one Boeing 737-500s (27316) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from Bahzan Leasing. The 1994-vintage aircraft was purchased by Bahzan Leasing from Continental Airlines in a deal arranged by Bristol Associates.

Chautauqua Airlines leased five Embraer ERJ-135LR (410, 413, 504, 512, 533) aircraft with AE3007-A3 engines from Continental Airlines. The 2001-vintage aircraft were previously operated by ExpressJet.

Vision Airlines leased a Boeing 737-400 (25262) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from EAST through May 2012. The 1991-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Brasil Rodo Aereo.
