Aer Lingus sells A330 for $17 million
Aer Lingus sold an Airbus A330-300 aircraft for $17 million. The Irish carrier had put its 1994-built aircraft for sale since last summer as part of a restructuring plan. Aer Lingus admits its A330 fleet is larger than it currently require in its latest annual report.
The carrier operates eight A330-200/300s, among which two aircraft are leased from BBAM. Of its owned fleet, two aircraft were built in 2009, one in 2010, one in 2001, another one in 1999 while the remaining aircraft was manufactured in 1994.
The 1994-built aircraft, MSN 059, has been acquired by GECAS. Memphis Group will part the aircraft out. The aircraft is equipped with CF6-80E1A2 engines and was purchased by Aer Lingus in 1997 from Airbus Asset Management. It was previously operated by Air Inter.
Air Jamaica leased a Boeing 737-800 (32919) aircraft with CFM56-7B26 engines from Air Lease Corp. The 2003-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air Berlin. Air Lease Corp. acquired the aircraft in last summer through a purchase and leaseback transaction covering two aircraft of the type. The second aircraft is MSN 32920.
Aegean Airlines leased an Airbus A320-200 (3990) aircraft with V2527-A5 engines from Alphastream. The 2009-vintage aircraft has been operated by Olympic Air since new.
Air Arabia subleased an Airbus A320-200 (2166) aircraft with CFM56-5B/P engines to Air Arabia Maroc. The 2004-vintage aircraft is owned by ILFC.
Air Lease Corp. acquired a Boeing 777-300ER (35442) aircraft with GE90-115BL2 engines from Air France under an eight-year sale and leaseback transaction. The 2008-vintage aircraft was operated by Air France since new.
AmeriJet International Cargo leased a Boeing 767-200SF (22216) with CF6-80A2 engines from Cargo Aircraft Management. The 1982-vintage aircraft was previously operated by ABX Air.
Avion Express leased an Airbus A320-200 (375) aircraft with CFM56-5A3 engines from Avion Capital Partners for a period of two years. The 1992-vintage aircraft was operated by Gulf Air since new.
Boliviana de Aviación leased a Boeing 737-300 (26303) aircraft with CFM56-3B1 engines from Triton Aviation. The 1994-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Olympic Airlines.
Bmibaby leased a Boeing 737-300 (28594) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from BBAM. The 1999-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Thomson Airways.
Cargolux Airlines wetleased a Boeing 747-400BDSF (27071) aircraft with PW4056 engines from World Airways. The 1995-vintage aircraft was operated as passenger aircraft by Singapore Airlines since new.
Deucalion Funds acquired two Airbus A330-200 (365, 372) aircraft with Trent 772B-60 engines from BOC Aviation. The 2000-built ex- Emirates Airline aircraft have leases attached to Virgin Blue Airlines.
El Al leased a Boeing 767-300ER (27477) aircraft with PW4060 engines from AWAS. The 2000-vintage aircraft was previously operated by GOL Transportes Aéreos.
Firefly leased a Boeing 737-400s (27003) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from Aircastle Investment. The 1992-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air Italy.
I-Fly wetleased a Boeing 757-200ER (26254) aircraft with RB211-535E4 engines from AtlasJet Airlines. The 1999-vintage aircraft was previously wetleased to Saudi Arabian Airlines.
Iberia subleased an Airbus A320-200 (2104) aircraft with CFM56-5B/P engines to Vueling. The 2004-vintage aircraft is owned by BBAM.
Izmir Airlines subleased one Boeing 737-800 (37745) aircraft with CFM56-7B26/3 engines from Pegasus Airlines. The 2009-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air Berlin.
Nordstar leased one Boeing 737-800 (33559) aircraft with CFM56-7B27 engines from RBS Aviation Capital. The 2004-vintage aircraft were operated by Ryanair since new.
Nordwind Airlines leased a Boeing 767-300ER (27427) aircraft with CF6-80C2B6F engines from AWAS. The 1996-vintage aircraft was previously operated by GOL Linhas Aereas.
Nordic Global Airlines leased two Boeing MD-11Fs (MSN 48512, 48513) aircraft with CF6-80C2D1F engines from Neff Air. The 1993/94-vintage aircraft were purchased last year by Neff Air from Finnair Aircraft Finance.
Small Planet Airlines leased an Airbus A320-200 (1411) aircraft with V2527-A5 engines from MC Aviation Partners. The 2001-vintage aircraft was previously on lease to Thomas Cook Airlines.
