AWAS places six Boeing 737/767s

AWAS has agreed to lease s total of six Boeing 737-300/400s and 767-300ERs with four airlines.

The operating lessor placed a Boeing 737-400 (24707) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines to NOK Airlines. The 1991-vintage aircraft was previously on lease to Jetlite. The new lease to NOK Airlines was effective 30 September 2010.

AWAS also agreed to lease two Boeing 737-300 (25010, 25032) aircraft to Vivaaerobus. The 1991-vintage aircraft, equipped with CFM56-3C1 engines, were previously operated by Khartago Airlines. The first aircraft, MSN 25032, is scheduled for delivery to Vivaaerobus in December 2010. MSN 25010 will be delivered in January 2011.

AWAS placed a Boeing 767-300ER (27310) aircraft with CF6-80C2B6F engines to Nordwind Airlines. The 1994-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Kenya Airways. The lease to Nordwind Airlines was effective 30 September 2010.

AWAS also agreed to lease two Boeing 767-300ER (33423, 33424) aircraft with PW4060 engines to Air Canada. The 2003-vintage aircraft were previously on an eight-year lease contract with Hawaiian Airlines. The first aircraft, MSN 33423, is scheduled for delivery to Air Canada in May 2011. MSN 33424 will be delivered in October 2011.

Air Atlanta Icelandic leased a Boeing 747-400 (24957) aircraft with CF6-80C2B engines from ILFC. The 1993-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air New Zealand.

Air Transat leased two Airbus A330-200 (966, 971) aircraft with Trent 772B-60 engines from the CIT Group. The 2008-vintage aircraft were previously operated by Mexicana.

Allegiant Air leased a Boeing 757-200 (26963) aircraft with RB211-535E4 engines from Sunrise Asset Management. The 1992-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Thomson Airways.

Avia Traffic leased a BAE 146-200 (2180) aircraft with ALF502R5 engines from Brussels Airlines. The 1990-vintage aircraft was operated by Brussels Airlines since new.

Airbus Financial Services purchased an Airbus A340-300 (378) aircraft with CFM56-5C4 engines from Iberia. The 2001-vintage aircraft was operated by Iberia since new.

Air Guinée International leased an Airbus A320-200 (1973) aircraft with CFM56-5A1 engines from Wells Fargo NW NA Trustee. The 2003-vintage aircraft was last operated by All Nippon Airways.

Air Nigeria leased a Boeing 737-300 (29342) with CFM56-3C1 engines from GECAS. The 1999-vintage ex-easyJet aircraft was previously operated by Virgin Nigeria.

Air Zimbabwe subleased an Airbus A340-500 (886) aircraft with Trent 553-61 engines from HiFly. The ex-Kingfisher Airlines was recently purchased by HiFly.

Bluebird Airways leased a Boeing 737-400 (24704) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from ILFC. The 1990-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Vision Air.

Capital Airways purchased a Boeing MD83 (49415) with JT8D-217A engines from Wells Fargo Bank NW NA Trustee. The 1987-vintage aircraft was last operated by Spirit Airlines.

Dynamic Aviation acquired one Boeing MD88 (49762) aircraft with JT8D-219 engines from U.S. Bancorp in a transaction arranged by Meridian Aerospace. The 1989-vintage aircraft has been on lease to Midwest Express since new.

Edelweiss Air subleased an Airbus A330-200 (291) aircraft with PW4168A engines from SWISS for the winter period. The 1999-vintage aircraft is on lease from GECAS through 2014.

FedEx purchased a Boeing 757-200 (23323) aircraft with RB211-535E4 engines from Wilmington Trust. The 1985-vintage aircraft was previously operated by US Airways.

Hello leased an Airbus A320-200 (936) aircraft with CFM56-5B4/P engines from AerCap. The 1999-vintage aircraft were previously operated by Philippine Airlines.

Minera San Cristóbal leased a BAE 146-200 (2096) aircraft with ALF502R5 engines from TronosJet Maintenance. The 1992-vintage aircraft was last operated by Jazz Air.

Saudi Arabian Airlines leased (ACMI) one Boeing 757-200ER (25621, 27622) aircraft with RB211-535E4 engines from Astraeus. MSN 25621 is a 1992-vintage ex-Aerosur aircraft, MSN 27622 is a 1997-vintage ex-El Al Israel Airlines aircraft. Both aircraft are leased to Astraeus by ILFC.

Semeyavia acquired an Embraer ERJ-145EU (145177) aircraft with AE3007-A1 engines from Aircraft Solutions ERJ-145, in a transaction arranged by Airstream International. The 1999-vintage ex-Flybe aircraft is the first of two aircraft to be operated by the Kazakhstan-based carrier.

Trip Línhas Aéreas leased an Embraer E175-200LR (137) aircraft with CF34-8E5A1 engines from GECAS. The 2006-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Paramount Airways.

UT Air leased one Boeing 737-400 (28477) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from Sabaka 2000. The 2000-vintage aircraft had been operated by CSA Czech Airlines since new.

World Airways leased two Boeing 747-400Fs (26562, 27071) aircraft with PW4056 engines from Deucalion Aviation Funds. The 1995/96-vintage aircraft had been operated by Singapore Airlines as passenger aircraft since new. The aircraft are expected to deliver in December 2010 and February 2011.
