Magnum AirDynamic buys MD-82s

Magnum AirDynamics has completed the acquisition of Boeing MD-82s that were previously operated by American Airlines and Midwest Airlines.

The company acquired a Boeing MD-82 (49323) aircraft with JT8D-217C engines from New England Merchants Leasing Corp B-10. Magnum AirDynamics purchased a Boeing MD-82 (49459) aircraft with JT8D-217C engines from Bay 2 Bay Leasing.

Both aircraft, manufactured in 1986 and 1987, respectively, were previously operated by American Airlines.

Magnum AirDynamics also purchased a Boeing MD-82 (48070) aircraft with JT8D-217C engines from World Aviation Services. The 1981-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Midwest Airlines.

Air Bishkek subleased an Airbus A320-200 (428) with V2500-A1 engines from Eastok Aviation. The 1994-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Mexicana.

Air Tahiti Nui extended the lease of an Airbus A340-300 (395) aircraft with CFM56-5C4 engines from ILFC. The 2001-vintage aircraft, which has been on lease since January 2002, will now lease through January 2019.

Airwork NZ leased a Boeing 737-400SF (24709) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from Aurora Aviation Group. The 1991-vintage aircraft was last operated by Olympic Airlines.

Avianca leased an Airbus A319-100 (1634) aircraft with CFM56-5B6/P engines from RBS Aviation Capital. The 2001-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Mexicana.

Armavia purchased a Boeing 737-500 (28471) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from CSA Czech Airlines. The 1997-vintage aircraft had been operated by CSA since new.

Business Air subleased a Boeing 767-300ER (26200) aircraft with PW4062 engines from Air Madagascar. The 1992-vintage aircraft is leased by GECAS to Air Madagascar through 2016.

Eagles Airlines leased a Fokker F100 (11364) aircraft with Tay 650-15 engines from Jet Trading & Leasing. The 1991-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Regional.

Gryphon Airlines leased a Boeing MD-82 (49325) aircraft with JT8D-217C engines from Jet Midwest. The 1986-vintage ex-American Airlines aircraft was acquired from Patriot Bank in August 2010.

Hawaiian leased a Boeing 717-200 (55184) with BR715A1-30 engines from Boeing Capital Corp. The 2005-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Midwest Airlines.

IMD Airways leased a Boeing MD-83 (49620) aircraft with JT8D-219 engines from Aerolux Ltd. The 1988-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Spanair.

Lead Air purchased a Boeing 767-200ER (23306) aircraft with JT9D-7R4 engines from KMW Leasing. The 1985-vintage aircraft was last operated by Swift Air.

Mais Linhas Aéreas leased a Fokker F100 (11390) aircraft with Tay 650-15 engines from Mass Holdings. The 1992-vintage aircraft was previously operated by MexicanaClick.

Merpati Nusantara leased a Boeing 737-500 (26704) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from Orix Aviation. The 1993-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Central Charter Airlines Slovakia.

Nouvelair Tunisie acquired an Airbus A320-200 (937) aircraft with CFM56-5A1 engines from Koral Blue. The 1998-vintage aircraft was operated by Koral Blue since 2006.

Precision Air leased a Boeing 737-300 (28596) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from BBAM. The 1999-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Thomson Airways.

Puma Air Linhas Aéreas leased a Boeing 737-300 (24247) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from Aircraft 24247 LLC. The 1988-vintage aircraft was previously operated by GOL Linhas Aéreas.

Services Air leased one Airbus A310-300F (413) aircraft with CF6-80C2A2 engines from INV 310 Ltd. The 1996-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air India Cargo.

Silk Road Cargo Business leased one Airbus A300-600RF (733) aircraft with PW4158 engines from MNG Airlines. The 1994-vintage aircraft was previously operated by China Southern Airlines Cargo.

Sol del Paraguay acquired two Fokker F100 (11304, 11348) aircraft with Tay 650-15 engines from Jetran International. The 1991-vitnage aircraft were last operated by MexicanaClick.

Travel Service Airlines subleased an Airbus A320-200 (400) aircraft with CFM56-5A3 engines from Nouvelair Tunisie. The 1993-vintage aircraft is owned by ALS 2007-1 (AerCap).
