Allegiant to acquire Cebu's A319 fleet
Allegiant Travel Company, parent of Allegiant Air, entered a deal with Philippine low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific to acquire 10 Airbus A319s under finance leases. The aircraft will be initially leased for a period of five years, before the US carrier purchases the aircraft.
Four A319s (MSNs 2556, 2586, 2625, 2638) were built in 2005. The remaining six aircraft (2786, 2790, 2821, 2831, 2852, 2876) were manufactured in 2006.
Starting March 2013, Cebu's A319s, which are powered by CFM56-5B5/P engines, will be progressively delivered to the American low-cost operator over a period of 15 months.
As part of a plan to support growth opportunities, Allegiant Air will also lease nine A319s from GE Capital Aviation Services.
Atlas Air leased a pair of Boeing 767-200EMSF (22571, 22572) aircraft with JT9D-7R4 engines from DHL Network. The 1983-vintage aircraft were last operated by ABX Air.
Aircraft Holdings Network Trustee purchased a BAE Systems 146-200 (E2048) aircraft with ALF502-R5 engines from Westall. The 1985-vintage aircraft was last operated by Flightline.
Arik Air agreed to lease an Airbus A330-200 (0891) aircraft with 4168A engines from Pembroke Group. The 2008-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Kingfisher Airlines.
Arkefly subleased two Boeing 737-800 (30670, 32799) aircraft with CFM56-7B26 engines from Miami Air International. The 2004-vintage aircraft are leased from ILFC.
Avion Express leased an Airbus A319 (1263) aircraft with CFM56-5B6/P engines from GECAS. The 2000-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Chengdu Airlines.
Delta Airlines purchased a Boeing MD-90 (53558) aircraft with V2525-D5 engines from Japan Airlines. The 1997-vintage aircraft was operated by Japan Airlines since new.
Enter Air leased a Boeing 737-400 (28489) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from AFT 1999-1 ABS Portfolio (GECAS). The 1996-vintage was previously operated by Brussels Airlines.
Europe Airpost agreed to lease a Boeing 737-400SF (25063) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from Aviation Capital Group. The 1991-vintage was previously operated by Variglog.
Fly540 Ghana leased an Embraer 170LR (17000004) aircraft with CF34-8E5A1 engines from ECC Leasing. The 2002-vintage was previously operated by Satena.
Nesma Airlines leased an Airbus A320 (2676) aircraft with V2527-A5 engines from Aviation Capital Group. The 2006-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Kingfisher Airlines.
Mihin Lanka agreed to lease an Airbus A321 (1946) aircraft with V2533-A5 engines from ILFC. The 2002-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Spanair.
Silk Way Airways purchased a Boeing 747-400 (29732) aircraft with RB211-524H2T engines from Freighter Leasing. The 1999-vintage aircraft was operated by Cargolux Airlines since new.
TAP Portugal wetleased an Airbus A319 (1263) aircraft with CFM56-5B6/P engines from Avion Express. The 2000-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Chengdu Airlines.
Transaero Airlines leased a Boeing 737-900 (30495) aircraft with CFM56-7B24 engines from Aviation Lease and Finance Company. The 2001-vintage aircraft was previously operated by China Eastern Airlines.
U Airlines leased an Airbus A320 (0308) aircraft with V2500-A1 engines from VGS Aircraft Leasing. The 1992-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air India.
