GE Engine Leasing buys 747-400 from AerSale

GE Engine Leasing acquired a Boeing 747-400 aircraft from AerSale as part of a $60 million investment for flight-testing.

The 1994-vintage aircraft, MSN 26355, was purchased by AerSale from Japan Airlines in the last quarter of 2010. The aircraft, powered by CF6-80C2B1F engines, will replace the current 1992-build 747 flying testbed.

Aerosvit leased one Boeing 767-300ER (25533) aircraft with PW4056 engines from Aerospace Finance Asia. The 1992-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Royal Air Brunei.

Aircraft Guaranty Corp Trustee acquired a Boeing 747-200F () aircraft with CF6-50E2 engines from Wilmington Trust. The 1985-vintage aircraft was last operated by AirBridge Cargo.

Atlasjet Airlines leased an Airbus A320-200 aircraft (645) with CFM56-5A3 engines from ILFC. The 1997-vintage aircraft was previously leased to Bahrain Air.

Austrian leased an Airbus A320-200 (1504) aircraft with CFM56-5B4/P engines from Macquarie AirFinance. The 2001-vintage aircraft was operated by LTU since new.

AWAS purchased and leaseback two Airbus A320-200 (3846, 3906) aircraft with CFM56-5B6/3 engines from Aircraft Purchase Fleet. The 2009-vintage aircraft are on lease to Alitalia.

Blue Air Transport Aerian leased two Boeing 737-400 (27002, 27005) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from Air One. Both 1992-vintage aircraft were purchased by Air One from German Operating Aircraft Leasing (GOAL) earlier this year.

Camair leased a Boeing 737-700 (34480) aircraft with CFM56-7B22 engines from Aviation Capital Group. The 2006-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Enerjet.

Canadian North leased a Boeing 737-300 (28760) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from Deucalion Aviation Funds. The 1998-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Shandong Airlines.

Danube Wings leased a Boeing 737-300 (28333) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from Aircraft Finance Trust. The 1994-vintage aircraft was last operated by Air China.

East Air leased a Boeing 737-400 (27213) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from Waha Leasing. The 1994-vintage aircraft was last operated by RAK Airways.

Fly Guam leased a Boeing 737-400 (23866) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from Aviation Capital Group. The 1988-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Aegean Airlines.

Gulf Air agreed to wet-lease two Boeing 737-700BBJ (30752, 34303) aircraft with CFM56-7B27B1 engines from Privatair. The first aircraft, MSN 30752, was built in 1999. The second aircraft, MSN 34303, was manufactured in 2005.

Icelandair acquired a Boeing 757-200EM (30735) aircraft with RB211-535E4-B engines from Flycorp Ltd. The 2000-vintage aircraft was originally delivered new to ATA in 2000 and was subsequently operated by VIM-Avia in Russia and Aurela in Lithuania. Cabot Aviation acted as the exclusive remarketing agent of Flycorp.

Interjet leased an Airbus A320-200 (2048) aircraft with CFM56-5B3/P engines from ILFC. The 2003-vintage aircraft was previously leased to Turkuaz Airlines.

Jet Time leased a Boeing 737-700 (29083) aircraft with CFM56-7B22 engines from Pembroke Group. The 1999-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Hamburg International Airlines.

Jordan Aviation leased a Boeing 737-700 (324263) aircraft with CFM56-7B20 engines from BOC Aviation. The 2004-vintage aircraft was previously operated by EasyJet.

Myanmar International Airways purchased an Airbus A320-200 (295) aircraft with V2500-A1 engines from Cyprus Airways for $6 million in a transaction arranged by Cabot Aviation. The 1992-vintage aircraft was operated by Cyprus Airways since new.

Nordstar leased one Boeing 737-800 (33559) aircraft with CFM56-7B27 engines from RBS Aviation Capital. The 2004-vintage aircraft were operated by Ryanair since new.

Novair wetleased an Airbus A330-200 (814) aircraft with CF6-80E1A4B engines from Air Europa. The 2007-vintage aircraft is leased to Air Europa by ILFC.

Omni Aviation Leasing purchased a Boeing 767-300ER (24875) aircraft with CF6-80C2B6 engines from AWAS. The 1991-vintage aircraft was last operated by Pluna.

Pegasus Airlines leased one Boeing 737-800 (37743) aircraft with CFM56-7B26/3 engines from RBS Aviation Capital. The 2009-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Air Berlin.

Republic of Sénégal acquired two Airbus A319-100CJ (1485, 1556) aircraft with CFM56-5B7/P engines from the French Air Force. The 1992-vintage aircraft were operated by the French Air Force since new.

SBA Airlines leased a Boeing MD83 (49668) aircraft with JT8D-219 engines from PALS. The 1988-vintage aircraft was last operated by Aviation Fleet Solutions.

Sky Wings Airlines leased an Airbus A320-200 (376) aircraft with V2500-A1 engines from AerCap. The 1994-vintage aircraft was last operated by Air India. Skyword Aviation arranged the transaction on behalf of Sky Wings Airlines.

Sriwijaya Air leased a Boeing 737-300 (27337) aircraft with CFM56-3C1 engines from GECAS. The 1994-vintage aircraft was last operated by Norwegian Air Shuttle.

Virgin Blue leased a pair of Airbus A330-200 (365, 372) aircraft with Trent 772B-60 engines from BOC Aviation. The 2000-vintage aircraft were previously operated by Emirates Airline through a 10-year lease. The first aircraft completed last week. The second aircraft, MSN 372, is scheduled for delivery later.
