Continental sells more 737-500s

Continental Airlines sold four 737-500 (27316, 27318, 27328 and 27329) aircraft to Bazhan Leasing Ltd. (Bermuda) for operation by UTAir (Russia). The 1994-vintage aircraft are powered by CFM56-3C1 engines. These represent the last of seven aircraft which were financed by U.S. Exim Bank. The transaction was arranged by Bristol Associates.

Separately Bristol Associates arranged the sale of a 1984-vintage Rolls Royce RB211-535E4 powered Boeing 757-200 (22208) aircraft on behalf of John Hancock Leasing Corp (Boston). The US Airways aircraft was purchased by Brickell Asset Management VI, LLC (Miami).

Air Algerie wetleased a Boeing 737-800 (29887) aircraft with CFM56-7B26 engines from Neos. The 2002-vintage aircraft is leased by GECAS through November 2011.

Ajwa Aviation purchased an Airbus A340-200 (204) aircraft with CFM56-5C4 engines from Saudi Arabian VIP. The aircraft was built in 1988.

Aircraft Parts Group purchased a Boeing MD82 (49127) with JT8D-217 engines from AWAS. The 1983-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Andes Lineas Aereas.

American Airlines purchased a Boeing MD82 (49379) aircraft with JT8D-217 engines off-lease from Aviation Capital Group. The aircraft was built in 1985.

Azerbaijan Airlines subleased an Airbus A320-200 (2842) aircraft with CFM56-5B4/P engines from Air Berlin. The 2006-vintage aircraft has been operated by Air Berlin since new.

Calima leased a Boeing 737-400 (24474) aircraft with CFM56-3B2 engines from EAST. The 1989-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Aerosvit Airlines.

Corendon Air leased a 737-300 (23375) aircraft with CFM56-3B1 engines for the winter period. The 1986-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Continental Airlines.

Danish Air Transport purchased a Boeing MD83 (49936) aircraft with JT8D-219 engines from Jetran International. The 1990-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Spanair.

Delta Air Lines subleased a Boeing MD90-30 (53553) with V2528-D5 engines from Hello. The 1996-vintage aircraft is on lease to Hello from Boeing Capital Corp through September 2014.

Denim Air purchased two Fokker 100 (11293, 11322) aircraft with Tay 650-15 engines from Mass Jet Lease. The first aircraft was built in 1990 and last operated by Yeongnam Air. The second aircraft was built in 1991 and last operated by GirJet.

Double O Aviation purchased a Boeing MD82 (49196) aircraft with JT8D-217A engines from Tara Aerospace for part out. The 1984-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Alitalia.

Luxair leased a Boeing 737-800 (28228) aircraft with CFM56-7B27 engines from ILFC. The 2000-vintage aircraft was previously operated by TUIFly.

MidAmerican Aerospace purchased three Boeing MD83 (49624, 49626, 49709) aircraft from C&G Engine Corp. for part out. The ex-Spanair aircraft were built in 1988.

Nile Air leased an Airbus A320-200 (3219) with V2527-A5 engines from Genesis Lease. The 2007-vintage aircraft was previously leased to Kingfisher Airlines.

Petro Air wetleased a Fokker F100 (11416) aircraft with Tay 650-15 engines from Trade Air. The 1992-vintage ex-American Airlines aircraft was purchased by Trade Air from Aircraft Trust in 2004.

Safi Airways leased an Airbus A340-300 (15) aircraft with CFM56-5C2 engines from GMT Global. The 1992-vintage aircraft was previously leased to Air Comet.

SBA Airlines leased a second Boeing 767-300ER (27993) aircraft with PW4060 engines from PALS. The 1996-vintage aircraft is owned by Air Europe Italy.

Strategic Airlines leased an Airbus A320-200 (190) with CFM56-5A3 engines from Macquarie AirFinance for a period of 56 months. The 1991-vintage aircraft was previously leased to Volareweb.

Sunwing Airlines subleased a Boeing 737-800 (33699) aircraft with CFM56-7B27 engines from Eurocypria Airlines. The 2003-vintage aircraft is on lease from ILFC.

Thomas Cook Scandinavia subleased an Airbus A321-200 (1238) with CFM56-5B3/P engines from Thomas Cook Airlines. The 2000-vintage aircraft is leased from Babcock & Brown.

Wings of Lebanon leased a Boeing 737-300 (26313) aircraft with CFM56-3B1 engines from ILFC. The 1995-vintage aircraft was previously operated by Thomson Airways.
