JetBlue Airways announced today that it will add a fourth daily flight from Boston to Chicago O'Hare effective 7 September.
All of the carrier's service on the route is operated with its Embraer E-190 aircraft, according to the airline.
Last week Spirit Airlines announced that it will launch one daily flight and one seasonal flight between the two cities. The airline will add one flight on 18 August and a second beginning 7 September, according to the airline.
In addition to Spirit and JetBlue's service, American Airlines and United Airlines have multiple daily flights between O'Hare and Boston. Southwest Airlines also flies from Boston to Chicago Midway.
