JetBlue Airways has firmed agreements with Airbus that cover an order for 40 A320neos and the conversion of a portion its existing Airbus A320s on order to larger A321s.
The carrier announced the deal in June of this year.
In a filing with US regulators JetBlue stated it entered into the agreements with Airbus on 19 October.
Deliveries of the current A320 models begin in 2011 and continue through 2017. The A321neos are scheduled for delivery from 2018 through 2021.
"JetBlue's total Neo Airbus aircraft purchase commitments are expected to be approximately $3.6 billion at 2011 average list prices," said the carrier.
