JetBlue seat revenues up 1% in May

JetBlue Airways has reported a 1% increase in passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) in May compared with the same period last year.

Revenue passenger miles grew 9.4%, while available seat miles rose by 9% year-on-year during May. The New York-based airline's load factor climbed 0.3 percentage points to 85.1%.

Passenger numbers rose 8% to 2.56 million.

On a year-to-date basis, passenger traffic rose 7.3% on a capacity increase of 6.9% year-on-year.

The year-to-date load factor increased 0.3 percentage points to 84.1%, while passenger numbers rose 6.1% to 12.4 million.
