JetBlue Airways will launch service between Hartford Bradley International airport to Tampa and Fort Myers on 24 October, the New York-based airline announces.

Each city will be served with one flight daily on an Airbus A320.

The Fort Myers service to Southwest Florida International airport will be seasonal and the Tampa flight will operate year round, the airline says.

"Our new flights to Fort Myers and Tampa are testament to the success of our existing Bradley service and the continued support of the community and the ease of which it is to work with the Connecticut Airport Authority," says JetBlue vice-president of network planning and partnerships Scott Laurence in a media release.

JetBlue flies from Hartford to Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, San Juan and West Palm Beach, according to Innovata schedules.
