JetBlue to launch Fort Lauderdale-San Jose flights

JetBlue will launch non-stop daily service between Fort Lauderdale and San Jose, Costa Rica from 27 June, ending Spirit Airlines' monopoly on the route.

The New York-based carrier will operate Airbus A320 aircraft on the flight.

The new flight will be the airline's third route in Costa Rica. JetBlue already operates between San Jose and Orlando and between Liberia and New York John F. Kennedy.

Spirit Airlines is the only carrier flying non-stop between San Jose and Fort Lauderdale, offering 11 flights a week, schedules in Innovata show.
