JetBlue Airways will launch service to Providence in November, with flights to Orlando and Fort Lauderdale.
The airline will operate twice daily to Orlando and once daily to Fort Lauderdale, beginning on 29 November.
Providence will be the airline's 75th destination, it says.
JetBlue's entry into Providence will break Southwest Airlines' monopoly on the two routes. Schedules in Innovata show that the Dallas-based low-fare carrier operates 28 times weekly between Providence and Orlando, and 13 times weekly between Providence and Fort Lauderdale.
