JetBlue Airways announced today that it will begin service to Worcester Regional airport in Massachusetts with daily flights to Fort Lauderdale and Orlando from 7 November.
Worchester, which is roughly 40 miles (64km) west of Boston, will be JetBlue's 80th destination. The flights will be operated using 100-seat Embraer 190 aircraft.
JetBlue president and chief executive David Barger said that the new service "speaks to our commitment to serve the great people of New England", in a media release.
The airline has expanded its service at Boston Logan in recent years and now flies more than 100 flights to 49 destinations from the airport. JetBlue has said that it plans to increase its daily flights from Boston to 150 within two years.
